TIME FOR A NEW SUMMERTIME COMMITMENT....been slackin off from walkin but somethin i seen yesterday got my attention.somewhere in this thread ive mentioned a friend of mines dad who is 80 years old and on occasion we've walked together at various places around town.jims dad walked every day and looked like a marine drill instructor.well, that is until he got married a couple years ago, started eatin his wifes cookin and slowed down on the exercise..i seen him the other day and he was nothin but a tub of lard,OUCH..huffin and puffin down main street...this guy was my fkn hero and now he's gone all to hell,hehehe.....moral of the story is,if you dont put yer health first, nobody else will...walked down to the mailbox,up the hill and down the lane that runs behind my house, probably about 20 minutes or so..its a beautiful day here in ky,and the little walk was very enjoyable..IM GONNA WALK EVERY DAY FOR 30 CONSECUTIVE DAYS....will take a week or so to get back in good walkin shape and im lookin forward to it..fk a bunch of work,hehehe...'keep the continue'

Damn Hognuts...I am impressed with the motivation to keep this up (the walking and the thread) for the better part of 1.5 years. I just started training for my third marathon on October 26th, so it's nice to have motivation from this thread to 'keep the continue' as you say.

Best of luck man.

They are all 26.2 miles. This one is in Washington DC. It can be a real bear to train for them at times, but it's worth it in the end. Hard work with results to show for it after it is all over. (And a medal to hang on the wall).
