did 5 more mailbox rounds....total today of 20 minutes downhill,and 30 minutes uphill,and i do mean uphill....i really enjoyed bein able to get some cardio in,and not have to get in a car...when it cools off this evenin,might do a few more rounds...ive found that the day after i jog,if i do hills the following day,then go to the forest the next day,and just do some light walkin...im then ready for some more joggin...from what ive read,mixin it up,and not allowin your body to become too efficient,too in tune,with whatever exercise you happen to be doin,that is the best way to lose fat...anyhoo,i get bored doin the same thing every day..........'keep the continue'

70 degrees in berea,9 am,and its rained all night,wont be able to go to the forest or soccer field..that leaves walkin thru town,bike trail,or the track...love to walk after the rain has washed all the crap out of the air.....LETS GIT IT ON!!!.......'keep the continue'

10 oclock,and its rained all mornin...brought my concrete blocks and weights into the garage,,gonna get in a good strength trainin session...if it dont stop rainin soon,im gonna be out there in the heat of the day....i dont like it,cause the heat changes the walkin from an experience i look forward to,to somethin very similar to work.....buuut,ye gotta do,what ye gotta do.......if ye find a road,with no obstacles,it probably doesnt lead anywhere...OUCH........i think its stopped rainin,,,LETS GET JIGGY WID IT......'keep the continue'

finally stopped rainin,and it was a very comfortable time to walk..parked at the bank,walked down behind the police station,up campus drive,took 595 up to berea coffee and tea,and main street diner...i stopped at both these restaurants to ask about their selection of ice cream...im sure they thought,what is mrhognuts doin askin about ice cream? he looks so slim and trim,theres no way in hell he coud be eatin fattenin foods...well.when youre a fkn athlete, ye got to have yer carbs.hehehe...i missed ice cream this week,sooo,next week,im gonna have a big slice of apple pie.........wait a minute,im not finished..WITH A BIG DIP OF VANILLA ICE CREAM ON TOP..YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHA..im sure thatll be about 600 calories,but itll be well worth it...ill just have to go walk my little hognuts off..uh...anyhoo(i got shook up)back to my walkin..afer i drug myself out of these restaurants,without orderin anything,i proceeded down the hill,walked back up the hill,by the art cente,and on down main street to the car........all jokes aside,concerning the ic cream,,im actually i unbelievably great control of what i eat...after eatin primarily whole foods,for 8 months,i dont even think about food,like idid before,i enjoy the heck out of shoppin for my food,checkin the ingredients(and i do check everyting listed,if i cant pronounce or spell it,i put the shit back...id also guess that about 1/3 of what i have ate this summer,comes out of my garden(sure gonna miss it)......buuut,here is the really good news..after my walk,im down to 216....i am one fat fightin mfer!!!...got 3 months,to lose 16 pounds...thats 1 and 1/3 pounds per week...my average has been 1 and 1/4......they say that the closer you fet to goal,the harder it is to lose..the only thig i think about is..my body has become so efficient at walkin,im goin to hav to continually work harder and harder,in order to drop the fat...and,the more you weigh,the easier it is to lose...if it sounds like im complainin,im not,i couldnt be any more satisfied,with my progress.....ive now lost 79 pounds,about 26% of my body weight,and still, every time i drop a pound,i feel like celebratin...i plan on workin just as hard,to get down to 215,as i did, to get down to 294.......it aint over,until youre dead...........'keep the continue'

after the sun went down,and a supper of chili,and a plate of veggies,walked down to the maibox and back twice..id like to get down to 215,by aug 1st,then ill only need to hit my average of 1.25 a week,to make goal.....been goin through some clothes today,tryin to find out,what winter clothes ive go,that'll still fit...first off, had to put away,all the shorts ive been wearin,and get some new ones,did that ever feel good....gonna have to get new sweaters,pants,etc.....what im really goin to enjoy this fall and winter,is wearin clothing that feel good on me.....i cant begin to explain,how tired i was,of fkn with clothes,that didnt fit....how i dreaded,to get up in the mornin,and have to put those uncomfortable,ugly ass clothes on......havin to wear suspenders,punchin extra holes in belts,til there was no belt left........aint where i wanna be,aint where im gonna be....but,thank god i aint where i was...'keep the continue'

72 degrees here in berea,and it 9 am.........recently,ive been doin some light strength trainin,while i drink 2 cups of decaf,watch the news,mike and mike,etc..,before i head out,for my walk....ive found that it wakes me up,quite invigorating..and it prepares me for the day...im not talkin about liftin 2 or 3 hundred pounds.tryin to outdo arnold..just some simple light liftin,to let my body know.ITS TIME TO GIT IT ON!!....its overcast this mornin,one of my favorite times to walk.......'keep the continue'

walked 53 minutes this mornin...wanted to do more,but thought id leave a little in the tank,for a couple trips to the mailbox,after supper...gotta keep the blood sugar level,and the metaboliosm active...im always tryin to straddle that line,between,doin too much,and not enough.........'keep the continue'

in the a:m,im usually about as gung ho,as you can get..somethin about startin off a new day,and especially if i get up early enough to watch the sun come up.., the evenin,is another matter..not lookin forward to climbin that fkn hill...buuut..from pain,will come pleasure.....my thinkin is,im better off,doin 50 to 60 minutes early,and then 15 minuts late,than i am doin the whole 1 hr and 15 minutes in the mornin...tryin to exercise smarter,rather than harder....LETS GO GET THE FKN MAIL....'keep the continue'

got in 5 rounds,thats 25 extra minutes of cardio...coupled with this mornin,thats a pretty good day...id like to do this every evenin,if it doesn effect my regular workout..we shall see.....'keep the continue'

Good work this weekend HN, I don't have the net at home anymore (moving soon), so its hard for me to post on the weekend. Personally, this weekend had some mixed results. Friday night the wife and I went to the movies, which is in the mall, so we treated ourselves to a night off the diet. I had a steak and cheese sandwich, which used to be my favorite. Then we went into the movie and I had a big pepsi and some popcorn. I thought it was great... until about halfway into the movie, my stomach felt like CRAP. I guess it's not used to that kind of crazy food anymore, and it didn't like it one bit. I struggled through the rest of the movie, but it was actually a great thing -- I realized that I don't need or want to go back to that kind of eating anymore. Hopefully that will allow me to eat my healthy food with the piece of mind that I'm not "missing out" on all that other stuff.

The rest of the weekend was pretty boring, not much to report. Had another baseball game, did a few things around the house, and eager to get it on this week.

Slice of toast with a tiny bit of strawberry jam, and some mixed fruit for breakfast, and I'm ready to go!

wasnt in the mood to drive to town,so i woke myself up,by doin some pushups,strength trainin with the weights.. then i hit my 'guerrilla cardio' lookin driveway,and did 5 rounds....goin to have some scrambled eggs,with fresh tomatoes and cucumbers,from mrhognuts garden,and have myself 5 more rounds......one thing is for sure,thi driveway is makin my legs stronger...if i didnt get bored,id never need to leave the house...buuut of course, 'IF' aunt molly had balls,she'd be uncle john........'keep the continue'

ivy,when i hear these so called 'experts' say..'it takes 21 days to form a new habit'..my initial thought is, HORSESHIT...it takes me about 3 months,of doin the same thing,every day,before it becomes second nature,or what we call a 'habit'.....youve got a good handle on the problem,and youre in he process of changin an unhealthy lifestyle, to a healthy lifestyle,and that takes time...ive been at this for over 8 months,and i still dont know shit...buuut,i know a hell of a lot more,than i did,and i can honestly say,that i learn somethin about exercise or nutrition,every day......hang in there,it aint over,til youre dead.....'keep the continue'

69 degrees,here inberea ky,and the sun is at the top of the trees....sooo,it must 8 oclock..quads are a little tight today,goin to change things up,and walk a few miles on level land..probably the bike trail......'keep the continue'

Walked and did some very light jogging this morning...feeling pretty good and looking forward to the Aug. Bash...will play some golf this afternoon after work...keep the faith Hog and Ivy...

Yesterday was a bit of a washout. Ate my usual rice and pasta meals, but as soon as I got out of work and ready to head to my baseball game it started downpouring. Rained as hard as I could remember, so that was out.

Looks a little better today, so looking forward to the walk home then a little jog around town. I've gotta find myself some healthy rice and pasta recipies, or I'm going to go crazy soon.

made it to the bike trail,walked the first 2 miles,jogged the last 2..found out on the net,that theres 650 calories,in a piece of apple pie..not gonna do it.thats too many cals,....at 650 calories,i could eat 4 or 5,apples, enjoy it more,and feel much better,the immediate gratification id get out of one piece of pie,aint worth it...ive got fat to lose....i can handle 300 calories,for an icecream cone,i can walk that off....buut,heres the good news...hognuts is down to 215..thats 80 lbs,in about 14 months,and 45,since nov 22..YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHA.im a fat fightin mfer...got 3 months to lose 15 pounds..shit,i can drop that much in my driveway..hehehe...1.25 pounds per week,times 12 weeks =15 pounds..i couldnt be any more on schedule......by nov 1st,im goin to be 200 pounds..ive been tryin to remember the last time i was that small,and i cant....gonna go have some supper,and hit that driveway from hell.........it aint over,til yer dead.....................'keep the continue'
