i finally recovered from yesterday, but that 4 miles in 59 minutes, wore my as out yesterday, the only reason i got out of the recliner, was to get a bite to eat..ive noticed that whenever i push the envelope a bit,i always sleep like ive took a couple quaaludes,im talkin, deep sleep, the kind where when you wake up,you feel energetic, optimistic, and are ready for some action.....sooo,after some bench presses, liftin over my head, etc,,i grabbed the 20 lb blocks, and was headed to the mailbox, when i realized that 40 pounds was no longer a challenge,so i went to work and finished puttin the handles on a couple 35 pounders....if youre doin this at home, although copper is easy to work with,it aint worth a shit for a handle, get the strongest wire you can find...and now, after a big breakfast,of scrambled eggs, mixed veggies, cottage cheese, and decaf,im ready to see if i can make it to the mailbox and back, carryin 70 fkn pounds....'keep the continue'

..well,that was harder than i thought itd be, had to take a break,at the bottom of the hill, and twice more,on the way back up it...im goin to challenge myself, to carry the 35 pounders to the mailbox and back, without takin a break, its not that my arms get tired, but the rest of me breaks down,hehehe.....everything goes back to stamina...if i weighed 200 pounds, theres not a doubt in my mind that i would have made that hill, without stoppin....before i started exercisin, when i would hear athletes or coaches talkin about 5 or 10 pounds, like it made a huge difference in an athletes performance,i thought they were makin excuses, but now i realize that 10 extra pounds,is a lot of weight....the only time 10 or 20 pounds doesnt matter...is when youre sittin on the couch!!! OUCH...'keep the continue'

5star,thats a great time, youre obviously in good condition, but i have always heard, that 4 miles in an hour,is the benchmark, for cardiovascular conditioning....do you lift weights? ive found the strength training to be as much of a challenge, and as rewarding,as the cardio..... what s your height and weight?.....very impressive stats......'keep the continue'

6 ft, 190 lbs. I am only 23 so it is probably much easier for me than some of you older vets. This morning I went to the track and jogged 2 miles again. My target time was 15 minutes. I ended up finishing 15 min and 35 seconds. Not bad I will take it. Yes I also lift weights, I played football in high school so i stick to the football program we were on while playing. I quit doing squats and do leg extensions instead though....keep the continue

I have had maybe 2 packs of cigarettes total my whole life so no I dont smoke cigs. I do smoke the green though but it hasnt effected me really yet anyway. Squats are very good for you and they do strengthen your entire body but I got so sick of them, they get fuckin tough and started giving me problems with my right knee so i decided to take it out of my workout. Like i said its a great thing to do but I just hate doing them.... keep the continue

5star,do they make wheat pretzels? i dont eat white flour...basketball is great exercise,,,i played some the other day,,uh,well, actually,i was out walkin, seen a basketball goal, behind a church, and shot layups, til i made one..3 tries,hehehe...as i get in better shape, ive been thinkin about sports, from time to time...basketball,tennis,golf....the only thing is,i really enjoy hikin, and if you go at it right, you dont need any more exercise...annd the absolute best activity, for cardio, and strength training combined,is climbin a fkn hill,if you constantly challenge yourself,it never gets boring...'keep the continue'

went to the pinnacle today, which is a mountain, here in berea...its almost straight up,and it took 42 minutes, non stop,to get to the top..if you stay busy, and dont take any breaks, itll get yer attention..what struck me the most,as far as bein different, since i last climbed the pinnacle,(about a year ago, when i was a lot heavier)was not goin up,but comin back down,it was sooo much easier,on my legs..as a matter of fact, when was heavier, the reason i didint go more often, was that it killed my legs....goin downhill,is a mfer, when youre 295,,all that eight, goes right to the knees....one thing for sure,i need to do more,of what i did today,if im goin to make 200,by nov 1...but,if i dont make my goal,it will be because im liftin these concrete blocks, and gainin muscle...you see a lot of walkers, and runners, who not only lose fat,but they have starved themselves to death, and lost whatever muscle, that they had..that aint goin to be he case, with me....if i have to get out and walk every day, next winter, thats what ill do...my goal is to be in shape, not to be a skinny,ex fat person.............ps: WELCOME TO MRHOGNUTS KITCHEN... on tonights menu.. chicken breast in a can of celery soup, mixed veggies, and for a treat, ill probably have a big red apple, and maybe some pineaapple with yogurt and cottage cheese, and a large cup of decaf ...i finished off my jello, this afternoon....will probably put my thinkin cap on,and fix another batch, before the nights over....'keep the continue'

spent all day yesterday, and half of this mornin, buildin a new workout bench, the old one was too big, needed to be closer to the ground...from my initial test results,i think this one will be much better...went to the forest this afternoon, and had pleasant little hike..45 minutes...early this mornin,i did some squats and deadlifts, that shit can wear you out, before ye get started..................WELCOME ONCE AGAIN TO MRHOGNUTS KITCHEN!.....discovered a breakfast recipe, that i like a lot...scramble 4 eggs, with 1 whole onion chopped up in it...remove from microwave...heat up one small can of celery soup(i dont add any water)..pour celery soup on top of eggs..throw a lil black pepper,on the soup, fix yerself a large decaf, and go at it!!! first thing to do,this fine sunday mornin, was to water my cucumbers and onions,(it aint rained around these parts in weeks) took some cuttings, off my tomatoes(gonna start a 2nd crop),transplant a pepper plant, and pull the weeds from all this mess..garden update...my cukes will be ready in about a week,i noticed that ive got 3 tomatoes startin to turn yellow.lettuce is ready...now the bad news,my first crop of radishes and onions, wasnt worth a fk,but i planted some more onions, and when i get some seeds,im gonna try radishes, one more time......went to the forest early today, and decided to see how fast i could walk and jog,the first part of the trail,(which is a hill)i did it in 8:35,if im not mistaken,8:45,was my previous best..the whole trail, took me 29:42,i think my best on that had been,29:45...and then i walked a mile around the soccer field.....stopped by walmart and checked my blood pressure..119 over 68.that makes 6 or 7 days in a row, that ive checked it,and its always been, about the same.doc told me the bottom number,is the one i had to worry about, and it needed to be 70 or under...it took me 7 months, but i finally got it there..cant believe it,but im lookin forward to my next visit to the doc, although it looks like im not goin to lose that 20 pounds i told him i would, the weight is secondary,to a healthy blood pressure..very encouraging to see that my new lifestyle,is payin off in more ways than the size of my waist...................now its time for another segment of..................................................WELCOME TO MRHOGNUTS KITCHEN!!!!! for supper im gonna have, garlic baby peas, with mushrooms, and baked chicken breast, cut up,in a bowl of campbells, old fashioned chicken noodle soup, topped off with a large decaf...................'keep the continue'

it cooled off his evenin, became overcast, and looked like an excellent opportunity,to go for a walk, especially since its been about a month, since i walked,in the evenin...parked at the bank, and walked for 48 minutes...takin a couple days off from strength trainin, while i enjoy it,ive noticed that if i do it too much,it takes away from my cardio time...stopped and checked blood pressure==118 over 65,yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeha......garden update..got several small green peppers,,cant wait to taste those fresh tomatoes..and it still aint raind a fkn drop....ive come to the conclusion, that its never goin to rain again,in berea ky....'keep the continue'
