That makes me wonder if people getting worried about the pace of Tide commitments this year? Basically signing day is in December now. Never doubt Saban, but...
you said the only three words that matter... never doubt saban ;)

Bama will end up with a very good class but won't be in the same category as Clemson and Ohio State this year. I don't think a 3rd place finish in recruiting is out of the question and I'm sure we'll end up top 10, closer to top 5. We are much tighter in numbers this year so don't have as many committable offers out as a normal year. Guys like Jalen Cunningham and Tommy Brown would normally be auto "takes" but are now asked to camp before a true offer is given. If we don't lead the SEC in recruiting this year we will be 2nd behind UGA. It's crazy how many h2h fights we will be in against UGA for top kids....

#1 RB in nation hold his presser on Tuesday. He's been back to Ttown twice this spring but I still think White grabs the UGA hat. As least his pledge, whether Bama or not, will allow some dominoes to start falling. If Bama gets White, they are set at RB...if not, they will snag Asa Martin. Unless White commits it will only be a 1 RB year for Bama who are pretty tight with numbers this year. We only have another 13 or 14 we can sign (5 verbals, 3 grey/blueshirts against the expected 21 or 22 for 2018) but barn and UGA in same boat which is keeping their current commit number low as well. UGA/BAMA/barn have 17 combined verbals which is less than LSU's 20 but when it's all said and done at least 2 of them (UGA/BAMA), and possibly all 3 will pass LSU. I don't know LSU's signable number this year but, IMHO, they have verbals from out a lot of prospects that would not play in Tuscaloosa, especially the offensive verbals. They are stacking up DE's and DB's but Bama in the hunt for better players at both positions and will flip at least one of the Josephs (maybe both)

Anyway, Zamir White's presser will be big news on Tuesday and likely a big win for Georgia. Other 4 and 5 stars have seen him at camps and know how bizarrely talented he is. My concern would be UGA snags him which then brings guys like Salyer heading to Athens with him.

Bama WR leaves for WVU. pretty wild...nobody saw this one coming at Simmons looked good in the spring and worked his way up to Ro Foster's backup (foster the kid that just got in dirt bike accident). only thing i can think is that he didn't like Bama signing 4 WR in the 2017 class with only two departing? no idea....

If Alabama is once again going to boast having the nation's top signing class in 2018, a title it's held the past seven years, it has quite a bit of ground to make up. With a week to go in June, Bama's 2018 recruiting class is a short list with just 5 names. Meanwhile, other college football powers are stacking up commitments. LSU already has a nation's leading 19 commitments for 2018 while other traditional recruiting powers like Clemson (11), Ohio State (14) and Oregon (13) have been in double digits for weeks. While not necessarily an issue yet, the Tide's low number of commits has some fans in the state nervous. At this time last year Saban had 15 commitments, and 17 the year before. Keeping in mind this is the offseason camp season when colleges bring potential prospects on campus to participate in drills while coaches make their sales pitches The next four to five weeks will be pivotal to the development of the 2018 class with two more on-campus camps between July 16-22. This class will be good just like the past classes. No worries from this Bama backer!

Stephon Wynn, DE from IMG Academy, holding his presser tomorrow. Bama, UGA and USCe should be the leaders here. He is consensus top 20 DE in nation. The 247 crystal ball has Georgia but I think Bama has a real shot. If he grabs the UGA hat it will be a huge recruiting week for the Dawgs

IMG has THREE DT's rated in the top 100 DT's in the country!!! On the same HS roster!

Fruhmorgen just quit. His heart isn't in it anymore and he decided he didn't want to play football. It's a shame, I was counting on him to be a starter in 2018. He started 8 games for Clemson's NC team last year! Unbelievable.

Coach, hell of a thread Bud. Thanks!

This may sound boring but we MAY just see a third Florida vs Alabama matchup for the SEC championship.

Florida/Georgia maybe a toss up in the East with other challengers...but Bama is the edge in the West.

Two teams in the East that's going to surprise folks is South Carolina and Kentucky...just saying my friend.

CL, I've been seeing the "love" that SC and UK are getting. I'm not buying it. Muschamp is simply a bad head football coach and they do not have the talent to hang over the 12 game season. UK is....well, UK. Mark Stoops isn't much different than Muschamp; two defense minded coaches who aren't very good head coaches. Again, I could be wrong but I'm not going to the bank riding Will Muschamp or Mark Stoops!

Honestly, unless McElwain can get UF's offense out of the 100's (rankings) I don't want to see another UF/Bama SECCG....it'll be another boring blowout. McElwain better get his shit together w/ the QB situation. Other than the real Homer's, most "real" fans who follow it like I do are sick of the excuses and the blowouts (he's lost 8 games in 2 years and they have all been blowouts). Let's just see something competitive. I'd rather see us go 8-4 this year w/ a competitive offense (losing 4 close, competitive games) vs. winning 8 ugly games and getting blown out 4 times (or 3 times or 2 times, etc). Losing is one thing, I'm okay w/ losing. But getting blown out by a team like Arkansas is inexcusable. McElwain hasn't scored an offensive TD vs. FSU in his 2 years! That's inexcusable. The same FSU who gave up 60+ to Louisville! WTF?!?!

Sports Illustrated’s Andy Staples on Texas A&M: “The best and worst thing to happen to A&M was beating Alabama in 2012, because it solidified you made the right choice going to the SEC, the fans will love it. But it also raised expectations to the point where they thought they should be competing with Alabama every year. Well, that’s really hard to do. They’re a program that is very average in the SEC. You did not pay all that money to renovate the stadium, the coach, to be 4-4 in the SEC.”
