Here are my results from tonight..... man do I dislike the Phillies!!! Hope you all had a better night then me!!!

I like the Marlins in this match up. Kohler has completely shut down the Phillies this season, allowing only four earned runs in 28 innings pitched, and Miami’s lineup in only hitting a combined .205 against him, so I am confident siding with him. Also, Morgan has yet to win at home, owning an 0-6 record at Citizens Bank Park, plus he has a weak 5.73 ERA, so he will give up runs, and the Phillies simply don’t win when he’s on the mound.

OTHER PLAYS:

5K TORONTO -1.5 +120 (EASY BLOWOUT WINNER 5-0)

The Blue Jays need to right the ship as they’ve sunk in the standings the last two weeks. Toronto is two games behind Boston for the AL East lead as the season enters its last two and a half weeks. The Angels have nothing to play for but pride and an effort to avoid last place in the AL West. Things haven’t gone well for the Angels in the last couple weeks. Weaver pitched well over the last month but the Angels don’t do much with the bats. Toronto gets the win.

5K CHICAGO CUBS -1.5 +122 (LOST 5-4)

I like the Cubs on the run line in this one. Lackey has a tremendous 2.20 ERA over his last six starts, plus he has held the Brewers to only four runs in 12 innings this season, so he should be able to contain Milwaukee. Also, Anderson has a weak 5.05 ERA on the road this season with just two wins, so he will give up runs, and I think the Cubs take this one easily.

Going to play the run line here. The Rockies have a very good offense at home and Edwin Jackson has been lit up bad by this team in his career with a 10.25 ERA in 13 games (11 starts) including a 12.00 ERA in six games (five starts) here at Coors. John Gray has not pitched terrible this year and he has a 2.91 ERA in his career vs the Padres. San Diego’s offense has really not been good of late and even Coors won’t help it here. 8-4 Rockies.

7K BOSTON -1.5 -120 (LOST 6-5)

I like the Red Sox on the run line in this match up. Mitchell did not look good in his previous start, and the Red Sox have scored five runs in 7.1 innings against him and I expect them to plate multiple runs in this one. Also Price is pitching his best baseball of the season, posting a dazzling 1.93 ERA over his last six starts, and he has won seven straight starts, so I think he will shut down the Yankees as the Red Sox take this one easily.

Not my night here are my results.....

7k Seattle -104 (Lost 2-3)

Take the Mariners in this one. Marco Estrada has struggled of late and has terrible numbers vs the Mariners in his career. The Mariners should be able to take advantage of that. Walker is 0-2 in his career vs Toronto, but with a decent 3.66 ERA and he should be able to keep a good Blue Jays offense under wraps. Both teams are fighting for a playoff spot, but this one means a bot more to Seattle and they should get the win here.

5k LA Dodgers Under 6 -115 (Blowout Winner 3 Run)

I like the under in this contest. I know the total in low but not when u look at the numbers from Bumgarner and Kershaw. Kershaw has an outstanding 1.62 career ERA against the Dodgers, and Bumgarner has a 2.78 career ERA against the Dodgers. Kershaw has only conceded six earned runs in 23 innings agains the Giants this season, and he is back in form after tossing five shutout innings to the Yankees in his previous start and he will likely go deeper into the game in this one.

5k Houston Over 8.5 +113 (Lost)

Going to look for a lot of runs in this game. The A’s have been excellent on offense of late and Brad Peacock has really struggled in his career vs the A’s, especially in this park where he has a 6.30 ERA in four starts. The Astros have not been that strong on offense of late and Jharel Cotton has pitched well in his two starts, but still the Astros are desperate and are more than capable of doing damage vs him. Look for at least 10 runs in this one.

5K CHICAGO WHITE SOX +113 (Lost)

The Royals have struggled lately to hold teams under four runs. Now they send out a struggling Ventura against Rodon, who has pitched very well against the Royals this season. Kansas City is also a different team without All-Star OF Lorenzo Cain (left wrist injury) in center field or on the base paths.

7k Milwaukee +115 (Lost)

The Pirates are the better team, but I’m not willing to bet on Steven Brault right now. He hasn’t won a game yet, and the Pirates haven’t played well in his games. Veteran Matt Garza is solid, and I’ll take him over this fresh young rookie.

5k Toronto Under 8 -120 (Lost)

Playoff games are usually lower scoring games and while this is not a playoff game, it does have a playoff atmosphere and that should keep the scoring down in this one. J.A. Happ has been excellent for the Blue Jays this year and that should continue here in a game that is very important for the Blue Jays. The Game is also huge for the Mariners and Hisashi Iwakuma has been pitching very well of late and he pitches well here at home. He also has a 3.87 ERA in his career vs the Astros, despite the fact that he has a losing record vs them. The Mariners have allowed just 2.30 rpg in their last 10 games and the Blue Jays have a solid staff as well. This one should be a pitcher’s duel.

5k Baltimore -140 (Lost)

I am going with the Orioles in this match up. Gausman just spun a gem against Boston six days ago, tossing eight shutout innings to the Red Sox , and he has only lost one game at Camden Yards this year with a stifling 2.27 ERA, so he will be pitching with confidence and should contain their offense. Also, Rodriguez looked shaky in his previous start, lasting just 2.1 innings allowing four runs, and I feel much more confident siding with Baltimore at home in this one.

Tampa Bay is stuck in last place with nothing but the last week plus of the season between them and the off season. The Yankees are the more desperate team. New York picks up the victory in this contest.

The Astros need this game in the worst way as they look to stay in the Wildcard race. The Astros have a clear edge on the mound and at the plate as the Angels just can’t hit a lick right now. Ricky Nolasco has been better of late, but still he has been very bad all year, while Mike Fiers has pitched well in this park in his career. The Astros have averaged just 3.70 rpg over their last 10 games, but the Halos have put up just 2.30 rpg over the same stretch. Take the Astros in this one as they look to go 18-5 in their last 23 home games in this series.
