7k Toronto -1.5 +107 (Super Easy Blowout Winner 10-4)
Patrick Corbin, like most Arizona pitchers, has been horrible at home and now he is about to take on a very hot Toronto offense. This is not good at all for Arizona. Corbin is 0-6 with a 7.15 ERA at home this year and Arizona as a team is just 17-33 overall here at home. The Blue Jays have been a rather hot team, especially their offense and while Stroman has struggled with his ERA he does still have a winning record and he is the better pitcher in this match up. Everything points to a big win by the Blue Jays today.
5k Cleveland -132 (Super Easy Blowout Winner 11-4)
Carrasco has been very good away from home this year, going 4-2 with a 1.94 ERA. And he has been great in starts during the day with a 1.19 ERA. Kennedy has been good too under the sun with a 1.46 ERA. The Tribe are 10-3 in their past 13 vs. the AL Central. They are 6-1 in Carrasco’s past seven in K.C.
5k Boston -1.5 -105 (Easy Blowout Winner 11-7)
The Red Sox get the benefit of not facing any of the top three arms in the Giants’ rotation in this short set. Instead, they face Peavy and Cain, who are a combined 6-12 on the year. Cain is clearly on a pitch count here after missing more than a month. He’s injured himself in each of his last two starts, a trend he’d like to avoid. The Giants’ bullpen isn’t the greatest and Boston is as good an offense as there is in the league. Pomeranz has familiarity with the Giants’ lineup from pitching in San Diego the last few months. He delivers a win in his first start in Boston as the Red Sox get the victory.
5k Pittsburgh -1.5 +140 (Lost 5-9)
This is an easy one for me. One pitched has lost four straight starts, while the other has won three straight decisions. And the Pirates not only have the hotter pitcher, but they are the better team and playing at home. I don’t expect this one to be close. Let’s take the Pirates.
