Why not have it listed some where near the betting option. I was going to deposit at WSEX but after hearing this there is no way I will paly there. I really hope you lose a ton of business because of this if you don't work some deal out with smokey. Pay him atleast half and make it more clear for future bets.

we are innondated with misleading statements everywhere we look in advertising, do some of them go too far? of course they do... it always happens... this does not make companies liable for these interpretations 100% all the time. this does not mean they should not step forward with a customer service gesture here. Those are two different things, perhaps they should.

WSEX claims the sentence was there for another purpose.. are they lieing? do we have proof?

WSEX is conforming to industry standard

WSEX had rules posted with payouts....

Someone unfamiliar to Horse Racing should be reading the rules before betting.

They are clearly not 100% at fault here, could they do something, sure they could, do they have to... no.

Sorry Smokey, you're wrong here. And I don't think you're so mad at WSEX as you are mad at yourself. "How could I be this stupid?" That's a good question to be asking yourself right now. You must not play a lot of ponies offshore, (even I knew about this 300-1 cap on trifectas), so I do feel somewhat sorry for you. You said in post #22...

...and I agree that this would make it clearer for players like yourself. WSEXSteve, change the wording at your site to make it clearer for new players.

You idiots at WSEX have gotten yourselfs into some hot water. Never should any "legitimate" book post what you have posted on your front page saying that all payouts are based on actual track payouts. That is just wrong. I think you owe the man 11,000 plus. If you dont pay him you are doing yourself a huge disservice. I know alot of people in this industry that wont stand for this and you as a sportsbook will suffer in some shape or form down the road. I guarantee it. Pay him or else, be more up front on your headings. Too me this is false advertising. You guys are a joke. Id pay him or you will be sorry in the long run.

This is Mickey Mouse by WSEX. This is after all the phucking Kentucky Derby and not some 10,000$ pooled race in California. If I were you I would call the Howard Stern Show on Monday and tell them about this. WSEX advertises on Howard Stern's show and this will hurt them much more than the 10k they are jobbing from you. Call and ask to speak to Artie on air and explain your problem to him. He understands gambling and will side with you.

That is what I would do.

I say that we "the players" need to rise up and put this book on its knees! This book cannot get away with this. The more I think about this the more pissed off I get. Its not like this race is a Saturday afternoon race down at the local coral. This is the fuking Kentucky Derby and anyone who wins a wager like Smokey did...is deserving of the payout that is posted. PAY HIM NOW!

WSEX like most books play bullshit games when it comes to the horses & quite frankly shouldn't take them.

Get a clue Chuckie. False advertising in this business wont stand and that is what they did on their front page. Any one the bets the horses in a recreational manner only reads the headlines that are in front of them and they had led many to believe that they would payout the same amounts as the track did. This is bullshit. Get a fricking clue pal.
