final day group B

Sweden- Korea: Under 3,3.5 @ 1.75

Situation is that Swedden has to win to get past Korea. Korea needs a draw to advance. Besides that Korea made a better impression so far than sweden, who seem to struggle with scoring.
I expect a very hard fought match between two teams on a very similar level. Sweden is known for low scoring games against better opposition anyway and with Korea probably being happy with a draw i simply dont see 4 goals in this match..if you can only get 3 as a total i would also go with the under.
Regarding the side there is no real value..a draw is possible, but not sure if sweden can have a break out performance.

USA- Nigeria: USA -2.5,3@ 1.90

USA will win. They are the better team here, no doubt. question is if they can cover the spread. my first thoughts were that they dont need to pile up the scoring (i am not even convinced they can), but than is for them not about qualifying (with a win only), it s about getting first in group to avoid germany in the quarters.
If the other match end in a draw or sweden win a win is enough for the US to achieve the top spot, but if Korea wins it comes down to Goal difference between these teams.
As i wrote above i dont see a Korea blow out win so in worst case (for the US) they win by 2 goals. that puts the USA in the situation that they have to better Koreas 2-0 win over Nigeria..meaning winning by 3 goals to be sure in first place.
Therefore a small 1 units play on the USA -2.75

agree, not sure if they can suddenly find the net but Sweden have created chances in their two games and are, overall, a better team. Key to match is mindset of the North Koreans. If they come in trying to defend for the one point they need they are in big trouble. If they play their normal game they should be fine. You know Sweden are here to attack so I think a small shot be tried on them @3.75 ... with most minimal stake

USA should win 3-0 or 4-0 so that HC looks good

North Korea moves on to face Germany while US will meet England in the quarterfinals, which start Saturday morning.

Two excellent futbol matches to get football Saturday off to a good start. :103631605

Think the monsoon weather threw USA off again...don't how they didn't decimate the Nigerian side. US has yet to bring their "A" game...they better get to it soon starting with England.

Aussies draw w/ Canada...one of the more exciting games ending 2-2 w/ goals scored by each team in the last 6 min.

Great ending but you got to feel bad for Canada great start scoring the 2nd fastest goal in world cup history. They looked like the better side for most of the game. They get sent home with the draw with the matildas. Who else lost on that late goal by Australia?

Any thoughts on China -3? No matter what is going on in the other match I think China comes out and puts on a show for the home crowd.

too bad you lost, I pushed.

up till the Aussies scored in the 52" they were controlling the match. After they first equalized, they seemed to play not-to-lose and Canada took over until the goal in the 91st by the Matildas. Didn't help that their GK had to be replaced as well, due to injury.

Canada's keeper was solid throughout the WC and I think Canada was one of the better sides not to advance to the knockout stage.

I played the spread at minus three. They are gonna get the majority of the calls, no doubt. Hopefully, they get the job done as they have the strikers. Their GK is nothing much so I was loooking at the over but am gonna pass as New Zealand is a weak squad.

Was looking at the over myself but not convinced New Zealand will score.

Agree totally about the Canadian Keeper. Very solid throughout.

Australia got a draw and thus into the knockout stage. The Matildas played it safe and it almost cost them.

China had their chances but just could not pour it on the Kiwis.

Aussies could pester Bra-nil. But the Brazilians have a clean sheet for the WC and Aussies don't play the kinda contrasting style that would give them matchup problems.

Make that Lingor and she came to play in the 2nd as she made a nice run into the penalty area and pass...and finished.

Germany 3-0.

Prior to the 2nd goal, No. Korea was knocking on the door w/ two excl. chances.

Looks like the No. Korean women will have their rice rations reduced after this loss...and some are anorexic looking as it is.:nopityA:

i am back from holidays and back to business.. no surprise i see in WC in meantime as the top teams all made it to the semis.

What are you guys thinking about the germany match?
it looks like it will be very close..at least historically it always was. teams know each other very well. so -1 seems a bit high to me. i still like germany to win, but maybe by just one goal or even in OT. the over could also be a nice option as 3 goals (something like 2-1) is always very likely in the women game, but than again Germany has not conceided a goal so far this WC. that leaves the risk of keeping the trend intact and requiring germany to score 3 themselves. that s unlikely, at least in a 3-0 type, game....still thinking about the options..what do you guys like?

took Germany last night -1 thinking at worst it's a push but most of the night and so far this morning I'm seriously considering buying back on the draw. The one thing that does stand out is that Germany has kept a clean sheet throughout this tourney.

ok..line has moved , so i am more comfortable with it now

Germany- Norway: Germany -0.5,-1 @1.90 and over 2.5 @ 2.04

I like germany in a close one as stated above. the over is more of a cover in case the side is not winning. basically saying in case Norway scores. i dont think germany will get shut out.
