Why would I pay extra taxes for nothing ? Answer that acebb. What would paying extra taxes accomplish right now ? Nothing except lowering the debt. Please explain what that has to do with socialism.

If you want to actually debate the topic of socialism lets do it.

but the whole tax point that you have brought up makes me question your critical thinking. It's priceless that you actually think it's a real zinger

Comrade has one good quality -- He never quits a debate he's getting slaughtered in. OK, no good qualities.

Please explain how I'm getting slaughtered. Scott you're better than that. You at least put up a fight and might discuss the real issues.

US Federal Programs are financed through taxes.

You are laughably dumb.

It is hysterical to watch you claim to be a champion of the poor, but now you're only going to pay higher taxes if there is Universal Health Care.

Wow, you big socialist warrior you.

Yeah I would pay higher taxes for the additional programs that would be in place. It can't be that hard

so if you call yourself comrade and create a thread on why we should all be socialists i would think you'd be able to explain, in your own words, why socialist is so great and not just cut and paste some website you stumbled across

explain where it's been done extremely well and promoted this utopia you seem to believe is available under the system. i'm not surprised at your hinting at extreme environmentalism since socialism masquerades as environmentalism and has for the better part of 40 years

The only fight left is getting your trolling ass kicked out of this forum. You're a child who can't be reasoned with.

Hahaha. Kicked out of the forum because I'm not an extreme right winger like you and have different political beliefs. That's great man.

Yes I copied and pasted that. That's just a brief intro to why to be a socialist. I have brought up points to support it and I wil continue to.

let's take bolivia as an example. i think we can all agree they're a modern socialist state...

ok, so they are ranked 126th in healthcare out of 190 rated by the WHO. you clearly stated that great healthcare is a right under your utopian system. being in the bottom 1/3 of countries on earth isn't too great

next up? environmental standards where yale ranks Bolivia 87th in the world. according to you this is a huge issue among socialists yet a fairly decent size socialist state ranks grossly behind the USA (33rd). hey, you said you liked stats....

let's finish this lesson up with "standard of living" known as the quality of life index. you did say living comfortably is a human right for socialists. well of the 76 countries indexed your beloved Bolivia ranks 73rd ahead of only mongolia, iran, and venezuela. within the many factors of the QOL index is pollution index so I've got to assume Bolivia are top 10 out of these 76, right? oops, nope they're 68th

well that didn't work too well so maybe you can give me these stats you're finding that make socialism the best viable option

so them becoming a socialist country after 1998 has no bearing on their development? What they are supposed to magically take off in 16 years ?
a better way to do this game would be to look at what they have done since 1998
Nice try though. I'm assuming you thought I'm an idiot and wouldn't know to call you on that

He practices what he preaches. You can write two paragraphs. You'll get one line back. In his next post he'll demand an answer to a question that's answered 5 posts above. And in the next one he'll accuse you of refusing to debate or bringing nothing to the discussion. Then a promise that he will continue to bring up valid points. But hey, we all deserve to be comfortable.

This is just simple stuff that I will bring up for now

17 percent illiteracy rate in 1998 gone by 2009
Minimum wage increased 50 percent
Lower poverty rates
initiate state support for poor families
initiate state support for retired people
Price of gas and foodstuff controlled
fast growing economy
