Ok so I'm wrong they don't do it every single time they score. It's still unnecessary and not in line with football etiquette just like Meyers last touchdown. Fair is fair. Take yer beatin like a man. Sign that ball boy with the fro because he's a 2 star that fits the system and beat the shit out of the whitest conference in America for the next 10 years. The rest of the nation still won't respect ya. So lose with some dignity.

Where did I say it was classless, out of line or anything of that nature. Keep throwing shit against the wall and sooner or later something might stick for you.

" whitest conference in America " Stay classy you piece of shit. :103631605

I didn't watch the last few minutes. I took it for granted that it would end the right way. MM taking a snap was stupid, if that's how it went down. Why risk an NFL career to injury for a meaningless play? You are right, I'm thinking worst case scenario, but this only comes to mind when it's meaningless. And honestly with the way injury awareness has gone, I don't want there to be any stupid injuries that come to the spotlight and change this game anymore that has been. The possibility always exists on any given play, so why increase the odds, albeit small? Sometimes an injury can't be recovered from, like Lattimore.

Just all in the moment. Personal opinion I guess.

RUTSing is Urban being Urban. Taking a knee is the way to go but that's not how Urban plays it. It is what it is.

Since none of my former players are on here, I would have taken a knee. I always preached play till the final whistle blows and don't stop playing until you hear the whistle. Every time I called off the dogs my players, usually 2nd and 3rd stringers gave me a dirty look. After winning four games in a row by over 40 pts and getting dirty looks and grumbling by my subs I called a team meeting. I told them every dog has his day and we may be in that position someday. Would you want someone to run it up on you??? I said this to a team that was 31-1 over three years. They all laughed but they said we understand where you are coming from coach...So I would have taken a knee

BUT

If everyone remembers Urban Meyer during his Florida days they would be throwing bombs up by 24pts late in a game. He was a master at covering the spread and then some. His teams never let up so it didn't surprise me...His calling off the dogs has always been blowing teams out. I was a little surprised however he went in for that TD with his star running back against the Oregon coach who he has worked with before.

Same can be said of MM going out under center the last Duck drive. These are kids and they are wanting enjoy the moment. You bring up worst case scenarios. If the ball is at midfield you take a knee. On the 1, let them score. No harm in that. Tore ligaments are part of the game. Chances of that happening from the 1 is slim to none tho.
Best comment on here. That and I always played the game that if you don't want us yo score then stop us. It wasn't like we were passing or running reverses. Now stuff like that is a little overboard.

He said it not me.

When you run out of stupid things to say you use the race card.

Either the big 10 or the Ivey league has to be the whitest conference. I guess I don't get the humor. Blackest league has to be the SEC

Hope you are still enjoying the best run for a team I have ever seen. Very impressive.

Sounds like someone who lost a bet. The running up the score didn't change the spread nor the over/under.

Meter screwed me badly on a nice middle! After the got the offsides to have firstdown inside the 5 with less than 2 minutes left I was
so sure they would taje a knee & run out the clock and was so happy about that. Marriota at that time had 311 passing yards & my middle between 2 books was U319* 90 to win 78 & over 296* 84 to win 80. Sure I would win $158 on the middle. Instead I lose $10
as Meyer go for the TD & allowing Oregon to get the ball again Marriota completes a 22 yard pass. Sickening, 9 out of 10 coaches would have taken a knee. The only justification may have been he wanted Zeke to get a 4th TD a record that may not ever been broken.
Meyer reminded my of the Jimmy Johnson days at the U when the crowd at the Orange Bowl used to chant 'Run it up Jimmy, run it up"
