Which is exactly why Urban shouldn't have had an issue with it. Game was close and with lack of time, the play selection is very limited. This can often lead to a moment of backfire for the offense. I didn't see the wtf expression, but I find it hipocrital that Urban would have a problem with that then go ahead and score with 28 seconds.

I don't think it was out of malice with the late score. Elliott was saying feed me and urban wanted to reward him for riding his back the previous three games. Would guarantee that what went on.

UGA had the same scenario this year against Clemson. The problem was there was a holding call on the score....Richt then was like fk it, and took a knee. When ask he said they play until the final whistle, but he really wanted to reward his RB and O for a dominating game. Nothing wrong with being a players coach on the field.

Yep. 45 pt favs. They run kickoff back and lineup for 2. Epitome of class?

Every team they play knows it's possiblly coming on Oregon's first TD, it's not like they run it as a trick play against some scrub team on it's first score of the game.

Yeah and it's not like Urban called a jump pass either.1st and goal on the 2 every team knows to clog the middle.

These contradictions crazy. Up 4 scores at the start of the 4q but didn't try to score 'most of the 4q' . Great sportsmanship! ... for most of the 4th qtr.

are you posting just to post ? as usual you're not grasping much in this thread... most people believe Fla St just plain quit....that's pretty much why score got out of hand

Wonder what the thread on here would have been like if Elliot tears his ACL on a meaningless run? You have unique insight given you're a fan of Gurley.

You said they do it after every TD, I said you are 100% wrong so what does this have to do with Oregon supposedlly going for two after every TD. LOL

Ok. So if a team gives up its ok to keep scoring on them but if they trying to win you should take it easy on them? Holy shit. No wonder west coast football fails every time. You guys don't understand the basic concepts of the sport. That's your wildest contradiction yet!

You have to understand that Tennessee just beat Arkansas this evening, so he can be seen in public.

It only takes one play, look what happened to Allen on the first play of the Rose Bowl, first or last play of the game anything can happen.

I think we are at a point of beating our head against the wall... we must have gone for two against the Vols to see this kind of venom

we didn't score after a score early in the 4th.....why don't you start a sportsmanship thread with Fla St going straight to locker room without shaking hands after the game ?

Same can be said of MM going out under center the last Duck drive. These are kids and they are wanting enjoy the moment. You bring up worst case scenarios. If the ball is at midfield you take a knee. On the 1, let them score. No harm in that. Tore ligaments are part of the game. Chances of that happening from the 1 is slim to none tho.

If it did happen, you have all year to get it back. Samuel isn't a big drop off from Elliot. Just as Chubb wasn't to Gurley.

Ok so I'm wrong they don't do it every single time they score. It's still unnecessary and not in line with football etiquette just like Meyers last touchdown. Fair is fair. Take yer beatin like a man. Sign that ball boy with the fro because he's a 2 star that fits the system and beat the shit out of the whitest conference in America for the next 10 years. The rest of the nation still won't respect ya. So lose with some dignity.

It's a shame Oregon took it's foot off the gas pedal the last time they played each other, who knows we might have hung a 100 on his Vols. :missingte

I didn't watch the last few minutes. I took it for granted that it would end the right way. MM taking a snap was stupid, if that's how it went down. Why risk an NFL career to injury for a meaningless play? You are right, I'm thinking worst case scenario, but this only comes to mind when it's meaningless. And honestly with the way injury awareness has gone, I don't want there to be any stupid injuries that come to the spotlight and change this game anymore that has been. The possibility always exists on any given play, so why increase the odds, albeit small? Sometimes an injury can't be recovered from, like Lattimore.
