Oregon has done its fair share of running up the score especially since the chip kelly era. Gotta be willing to take it if you're gonna dish it out.

All Oregon had to do was stop them.

Big time coaches squash their opponents. Stop them if you don't want them to score. Win if you want respect....Oregon will continue with the high school offense and get dominated by the big boys. No room for those shananigans in big boy football!

Yeah and then a botched snap or blocked kick could have changed the game completely. Urban did exactly what any good hard nosed team would do. Oregon probably would have ran some double reverse swing pass in that spot or whatever is their go to high school play.

That gimmicky team needs to lose by 50.

Seeing that you are probrably Georgia fan do you even realize that Oregon had more rushing yards than Georgia and every other every other SEC team this year.

At first I thought it was classless as Mark clearly waived the white flag. However after a few seconds I got my senses back as I am the first person in every circumstance defending playing until the end even if that means running up the score. Your job is to play a full 60 minutes & it is not your problem if the other team can't stop you.

After all the games Oregon ran up the score on teams over the years , your gonna piss on Ohio St and Urban for putting another one on the board? Congrats to The Ohio State Buckeyes !!!

Given the reverse situation the Ducks would have done the same , then gone for 2 , to rub it in.

Sounds like someone who lost a bet. The running up the score didn't change the spread nor the over/under.

You can take Urban out if the SEC, but you can't take the SEC out of Urban.

Really? Tell me when you have ever seen Saban not take a knee? Its not the SEC you fucking moron, its the fact that he wanted to make a point. He went undefeated last year and didnt even get a bowl game, and this year he came in with a 3rd string qb and defied all odds against his team. Dont bring the SEC into this bc your butthurt they have dominated the entire NCAA over the past decade. You look like an idiot saying dumb shit like that.

Really surprised and pissed that Meyer didn't take a knee. Had 5 for Ohio St. And 0 for Oregon in a $100 box pool. 5G slid out of my hands in seconds. Needless to say, it took me a while to get to sleep last night. Damn!!

Everyone in the world took a tremendous dump on the Big 10 and every member of it this year. Urban Meyer just decided to go in dry one last time to make a point to the rest of the country. Besides that, when did people start developing feelings in football? Oregon's job is to stop them. The point of football is to score on every play, whether it's the first or the last. The facts are if it had been your own team not taking a knee we probably wouldn't hear a peep out of 99% of you. It's all relative...

I had a fairly major bet on Ohio State. At that point, the Buckeyes were going to win and cover. It's just sportsmanship. Oregon knew they were bent over, humiliated. It's more of a statement to kneel down at the 4 than to score a meanlingless TD. You don't see the pros pushing it into the end zone in that situation. If you think it's more "macho" to score there, fine. Oregon has run it up plenty so it didn't bother me that OSU scored, but if it was me, I would have had my first-stringers kneel, knowing they could have scored if they had wanted. Different mentality I guess in the college game than the pros, who generally respect the opponent and the coaches.

trying to score at the end of the first half vs scoring a td with 28 seconds after you are up 2 td's and have the game won are two completely different animals. But this is typical Urban. He's a great coach, but he doesn't win with class. He did the same in a game up 18 and just had to tack another score on under 1 minute. Not everybody sees it the same way. I guess it depends on your upbringing. Where I come from, you take the knee and show your opponent the respect he deserves.

I like his style!
Reminds me of the old ball coach at Florida throwing towards the end of the 4th up 30.
