Coin, where in the world are you getting Florida at -7.5? That's a far better number than anyone here has gotten.

on a serious note, first off no bookmaker in Vegas, offshore or Local is in business of giving away money. So yeah Alabama has a shot and this 2008 team is a lot like the 1992 team that won it all.

Alabama can play defense.
Alabama Tackles well.
Alabama can run the ball.

Now those 3 things mixed up with a few more things the tide do well can make the difference.

Fla gets alot of yards after the catch - due mainly to some poor tackling.

Fla defense slows down most teams abillity to run due to the defensive line they have. Alabama's offensive line is bigger and stronger than any line the gators have played thus far.

Tim Tebow is great because of his abillity to run or pass, Alabama's Pressure will force him to throw more to a better defense and turnovers will be a key.

But the biggest key is special teams... Edge goes to Arenas and the Tide.[/QUOTE]

- i agree with a lot of that except the last part. There is a big edge on special teams to the Gators. Javy is great though but overall it is not close.

Gators have a huge edge on ST's.

KO Return D: Bama 72; UF 89
Punt Return D: Bama 73; UF 4
KO Returns: Bama 106; UF 58
Punt Returns: Bama 13; UF 7

UFs KO return #s really arent that bad. They are a bit inflated IMO due to backups vs Citadel and the mudbowl vs FSU. They haven't been great by any means, but not horrible either.

Brandon James has returned two punts for touchdowns this season and is second nationally in punt return average (13.6 yards). The Gators have blocked eight kicks (five punts, two field goals and one extra point) and have allowed a total of 43 yards on punt returns all season, which ranks sixth nationally.

Randizzle is on Florida, game over. I liked Florida in this game before he released his pick on them, because I simply cant see Bama being able to match score for score with Tebow and the rest of the crew. IT SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY THAT THIS GAME WILL BE PLAYED ON TURF IN THE GEORGIA DOME, THAT WILL FAVOR FLORIDA GREATLY AS THEY HAVE MUCH MORE SPEED THAN BAMA.
of course he is never on a dog

Key to this game is taking Tebow out of the game, and if he tries and run the ball on Bama he will be pull off on a stretcher. I hope it doesnt happen but he will not run the ball against Bama's defense or he will suffer from it. Bama will close up around the tackles where Tebow is use to running the ball and it will be katey bar the door.

Out of all the comments on the game from this week, this may be THE dumbest.

Haven't bothered reading through the thread. Too much SHIT to filter through. After reading through some of the crap where people predict Florida beating Bama 1000 to 'nuthin makes me PUKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Do Shepeople actually believe that Florida is going to beat Bama?????

Maybe they will but not by this pointspread.

No way in Jesus Christ HELL does Nick Saban let Florida run up the score. The pointspread is CRAZY!!!

saban = sleazebag

Never let getting personal get in the way of making money. TT will not be able to run the ball like he has all year , that up the gut draw shit. You may think Saban is a douche but the guy is a defensive genius. He will have Alabama D ready, combine that with critical FLA injury and the tide covers. Can FLA stop the relentless pounding of Alabama running game? It all comes down to that. This game will be a battle won and lost on the line. Kicking game. And field position. Can Bama put pressure on TT? Can FLA stop the Alabama ground attack? Will JPW be able to connect on those 1-3 long passes he usually misses? Alabama is healthy (Mt. Cody is back to near 100%) and clicking on offense.
How do you give the #1 team, that has not lost a game 10 points on a neutral field.
Disclaimer I went to Bama, but have made just as much money this year betting against them as on them.
Alabama +10 1200/1000
Alabama +6 1st half 660/600
Considering the total. I honestly think the under might be the best be of the night.
Not a tout, not a hack trying to steer anyone one way or the other. Just giving my .02 cents. Second largest play of year. Georgia was my largest.
Good Luck Everyone, enjoy this epic game...

Local lottery place lol, but I have to bet on at least 2 teams per card. If you saw that, would you take Florida? I had to. I put it with Boston College.

I'm using a credit card next season though.

the funny thing is all of the bama supporters talk about what tebow won't be able to do because saban won't allow it.

for two plus years now coaches have wanted to stop this guy, but now saban is gonna be able to do it?

i think he has the know how, but not the players.

i would look at the Georgia game bama supporters... they both played GA at GA and one team gave up 30, the other gave up 10.

Did you watch the Alabama UGA game. If UGA was a wounded animal they would have shot it halftime to show mercy.

Common scores and how Team A performs vs Team D, compared with Team B against Team D is not relevant.

Many people want to dismiss what Bama did to UGA. Also, Bama destroyed Clemson's season right at the start.

exactly....everyone forget to mention the donkey college athletes he has to work with. I'd have more faith in a good coach in the NFL than in college. Oh yeah...my buddy is 0-5 in college ans has Bama. Good luck to those siding with him...you'll need it!

i'd say 90% of the time i agree with you about common opponents. i just don't dismiss the times where something can be taken from them.

i actually watched every down of the GA game in amazement... the first half because of how good bama looked and how bad ga looked. problem was bama in the second half... ga made some adjustments and ended up with 30 points on this "miracle workers" defense.

i also watched every down of the ga v. fla game and georgia litterally never had a chance.

the reason fla rolls is not found in that game but i would look at it and question my support for bama if i thought they had a shot today.

Bama for me, not sure why on earth they deserve absolutely no respect. Solid team on both sides of the ball, excellent coach and will be playing with a chip on their shoulder to boot.

Maybe even Bama ML
