Nobody is an idiot for betting New England.

I bet them, and they would have won and covered if Welker holds on to a very catchable pass. He didn't.

Manning made the plays down the stretch to EARN the victory. I will not take that away from him, they made the plays to win the game. But it isn't wrong to say that the Welker drop cost NE the game and cover. It did.

NE had a costly penalty on a fumble recovery, and another fumble deep in NYG territory was recovered by NY. The opening safety was huge, it cost NE a possession, and affected game strategy down the stretch.

It wasn't the prettiest game I've ever seen, and it was a tough loss, but these things happen. Win some, lose some. I object to being called an idiot and stupid for taking a side that had a very clear chance at winning the game and covering.

2 evenly matched and flawed teams. The game could have turned many times if things happened differently (fumble recoveries, penalties, safeties, drops, etc..)) But what happened,,,happened..and NYG made the plays and NE didn't. Its a tough loss, but I've had tougher.

Congrats to NYG backers. Try to show a little humility, instead of rubbing it in the faces of the NE backers. The game could have gone either way.

only 2nd post but better defense and better overall team won outright being underdogs....same situation last year despite the naysayers.

it's like handicapping a horse rase, picking a horse, he's leading... as he approaches the finish line, he dies one step from the line costing you a lot of money. basically thats what the niners and the pats did. the giants did not deserve to be here period. go back to the niners game where the giants fumbled the ball and the refs blew the play dead. that should have been a fumble and game over. I bet the UNDER in this game, so it really doesn't matter, but the fact is, the giants did not deserve to win, nor did they deserve to be in this game. the only thing they deserve was the win at GB, and even that, they got a fluke hail marry at the end of the half. I guess lucky is more important than deserving a win.

That dropped pass on the Giants 20 yd line by Welker sealed the patriots fate. The Patriots are the better team and always will be. They deserved that win. The Giants played a shit game, fumbled twice and the ball just bounced the right way. Terrible playing by the Patriots receivers in the last 6 minutes of that game. Eli is not an elite quarter back his team is just opportunistic. I saw 6 or 7 horrible throws by Eli and about 2 for Brady the whole game. The Giants are a fluke team and wont be even close next year IMHO.

It was a close game and either side could have covered. It is what it is. The SB is just another game and most of the time it isnt that great of a game. This was a poop game and outside of some very good D by Giants neither team played well.

I guess this thread proves the old axiom that it's better to be lucky than good. I guess the Giants must be really lucky because they have Eli Manning and he has one more Superbowl ring that his brother. I have no idea what more he has to do to prove that he is an elite quarterback. He's just come off his best season, several late game comebacks, incredible fourth quarter stats and just drove his team over ninety yards, with less than four minutes, to win the Superbowl. Are there a lot of quarterbacks that have won two Superbowls and MVP in both of those games who are not considered elite quarterbacks??

In my opinion Brady had alot to do with the pats not winning. he threw the ball up for grabs to a Tight End. It's not like Randy Moss was down there it was a Tight End. Secondly, He threw to the wrong shoulder of Wes Welker. Sure Welker should have caught it but if he didn't have to turn his body around he would have caught it. Then he threw behind Branch on the last series, that would have put the ball at the Forty and given them at least a better shot to score.

1st of all STFU Pats fans, you lost the fucking game. That makes 3 in a row that Eli & the NYG got "lucky", yeah RIGHT. Rod Harrison said it after the game, "Eli was clutch Brady wasn't"!! I like Brady as much as anyone and will never forget him in the 3 SB wins. But to say Eli is not at the top right now, just shows how little you know about foots. I've watched this game for 65+ yrs, Eli is as clutch as anyone I've seen, including my idol Johnny U. So GB got "lucky" LY too, right? No one in the history of the NFL has as many 4thQ comebacks as #10. Live w/it, he may not be pretty, but I'll take him on the Vikes ANY day!! And if they played tomorrow, the NYG would do it again. My +3 was a $500 gift from Eli!!

The funny thing is neither were the 2 best teams and the patriots are playing In the triple a ( the afc is just horrible) but I am a giants fan and I think the league is so flawed

Just my opinion...but I think Eagles are the best team in the NFL...and they didn't even make the post season. But Giants and Patriots are up there. 2 very good teams, you have to give them credit. Next time they face, Patriots will win.

Funny just a few weeks ago everyone thought SF and GB would beat the Giants. Was on the Giants Money Line in both games. People dont realize how good a team is, till you shove it in their face. I always knew Giants were a championship team. I just thought the Patriots had the edge here this year..which as you saw it did take luck for the Giants to win..but they deserved it. This was probably bad karma for the Patriots to lose this game... lol

Fucking Garbage post, you sound like your 16. Eli is not elite but he didn't throw an int all post season, he's not elite but he went 30 for 40 with a MONEY throw to Mario when it counted when he had to put it in the tightest spot you could possibly fit it in. Meanwhile welker is wide open and Brady makes him turn his body around and he misses it. He did that a few times before too making gronk turn all the way around. You can talk about fumbles not bein recovered, what about that safety? Take that away and they only have to kick a FG.Talk about a fluke, the FG miss by cundiff was a flke, giants beating the pats three time= no fluke.

Dude, calm down. Big Cat had the Giants. He's being sarcastic mocking the first guy. Big Cat is a CLASS guy.
Thank you I'm glad you got it. I've been a Giants fan for 50 years and the last 3 games I've posted big plays on this forum backing the Giants. The Giants, Eli and coach C for some reason don't get the respect they deserve.

Not sure if eli is elite but he is clearly the most clutch QB in the nfl when it counts.

if Welker catches the ball, the Pats probably do win. Or the likelihood of such increases dramatically

but I can't take anything away from Eli. He won two Superbowls the exact same way, a drive in the last minute to win. Was he a little lucky? maybe, but most teams that win have a little luck somewhere along the way. Including the Brady and the Pats
