Woof....I haven't ordered mine yet. But here is the website that I got off of the book. www.blueribbonyearbook.com Last time I tried to order it they had web server problems and I couldn't get through. I'll try again today and see what happens. If nothing else you can probably call their number, which I think is on this website.Silver7 and everyone else, has anyone been able to obtain a copy of this years' blue ribbon?
If so, would you please post the contact details in this thread and thanks.
I hope they didnt disappear because of the mortgage meltdown.
Thanks GS, but the # at their website has been either a message of all circuits are busy or its been disconnected for more than 6 weeks.
They are also still showing the 09 march madness ordering information.
I hope it didnt badly affect them, but the magazine always featured a company named franklin mortgage.
I dont know of another printed magazine that can substitute for the info br contained.
It certainly sounds as if they bellied up. Their phone number is disconnected and there is no new number, which is a dead giveaway. They were not very popular. To be honest, this is the only forum where I have ever seen them being mentioned. They were part of Blue Ribbon Media Services, out of Nashville, and I can not find any information on them either.
I am really bullish on CAL but they may be a bit out of sync early on. I just can't shake what my gut is telling me on their QB situation. I've long felt that Riley is going to be the next great CAL qb but indications from Tedford clearly do NOT signal much confidence. This is NOT the Tedford way. He does NOT motivate his guys like this. Unless through fall camp we do not see a very clear statement from Tedford that Riley is the guy I think bettors need to prepare themselves for another 2 headed qb and that could mean trouble on large spreads... I've given this a lot of thought.
Im reading alot of Cal love here.
Steel high on them, again, and of course always a strong pac 10 voice among our forum here.
Cal better have their eyes open for Minnesota week 3.
@Oregon and USC on deck, that game looks like a ripe spot for a Gopher road upset.
I may have to bite on some Minny ML for that game.
again, your mistake is judging the response from this forum
this is the minority...99% of the people that will make a bet week 1 aren't even talking about college football right now..!!
cal was -8.5 to stanford second to last game of yr at home
they opened -7 to miami in bowl that was a "home" game, which after suspensions for um and qb transferring that line ballooned to -10 and they didn't cover
maryland was +3 @ v tech on thrs night espn in their 2nd to last road game last yr
throw in the fact that maryland beat cal last yr, and pretty much dominated, and that line won't be as high
not to sound condascending, but you're getting confused with how much better you feel cal is and power rankings with what the spread will be...do i think cal can win by 14..?? well, considering that i have a nati'l title future on cal, and stated in another thread that i'm down on maryland, it's obvious that i think cal is much better...
but i don't think we'll see -14 on that game, or -16 like some one else posted
Don't know about dominated being the right word. CAL outgained the Terps by a 461-297 margin lastyear at Maryland.
