Germany - Spain: Germany pk,+0.5 @ 1.84 and under 2,2.5 @1.95

this match is as tough as it gets. Germany is on a great run and their young team has the big momentum and confidence going for them. they are tactically sound and probably the best coach team in this WC. Although many think they have a highly rated defense i still think there are a few holes here and then, but their main strength is to take care of the opposition s top players in an "whole team" approach as they did vs. England as well as the Messi-Argentina.
there offense is definetely able to score, but if you look at the players and the games so far they have score by speed and counter attack. the high scoring matches like Australia, Englan, Argentina came all after early leads and then against unddisziplined and open defenses.

Spain on the other hand played mainly very solid defense and relying on Villa to bring them through. i predicted all under in the "tight" matches here correctly : Swiss, Portugal, Paraguay. their main strength is and was alread during the EURO campain the defense.

SO what s to expect: i expect against what most people maybe would think a very tight and close game. this is a high caliber european matchup between two tactically and defensively sound teams. both teams have their strength in waiting for the others mistake. ofcause both teams will attack and go for the win, but they will do it with care as the one goal might be decisive.
German s coach Löw stated after teh England game that his team tryed to sit back and wait for England to take over the game, just to run them off the pitch then on counter attack...why should he change that today.
Spain is not 100 % going forward in any of it s games so far. Why should they do it today knowing the speedy germans.
My side pick is germany simply because after the recent lines moves you get half a profit with the draw and i would not be surprised to see a draw here after regulation...to pick a side is really a coin toss IMO and you can take "Paul the Octopuss" for that (maybe it s time to fade him today)
I also like the under here. unless this gets out of control by an early goal in the first 20 minutes (and i dont expect that, with both teams starting carefully) goals will be hard to come by and a 1-0 win for either side or a 1-1 draw is well in the books.

still my heart is rooting big time for germany...we always win one close one every WC in penalties..why not today...on the other hand it would be even sweeter to beat the dutch in the final after penalties

i will probably not be around for the weekend, so here my picks

Germany- Uruguay: Germany -0.5 @ 1.85

they want to finish fthird..any other commentar came straight after disappointing match and they are strong enough tobeat the south americans

Spain- Holland: Spain -0.5 @ 2.06 and under 2 @ 2.05

i told you all that Spain is a big,big under team...i dont care if they posses the ball a lot. they have strong defense and somehow manage to score then.
i expect exactly the same here.
Holland cannot go with that either...it will appear a close game as it was germany-spain but in the end spain will take the price.
for the under i like it even more that Holland is basing their success on defense as well...dont be influenced by all the talk about the great strikers...that was also true for the gemany- spain match and you have seen almost no scoring chances. Also the holland-uruguay over was some kind of a fluke..they scored twice from 30/40 meters.

I am staying away from the 3rd place match. GL2U & Germany. I really like the sr. and their youth squads.

3rd place was a winner and i am more and more confident with my final picks.

adding a prop though:

Holland -1 yellow cards. @ 1.90

Holland is getting quite a few yellows. Spain not at all (only one). holland is a very undiszipline team. IMO they are playing the dirtiest football of all. you will se not the clear foul, but those little kicks and pushes away or after the real action.
their places have a tendency to get frustrated and as i expect spain to play their usual style and win it they will get frustrated.

told you guys: the dutch are the most unfair team in WC...there should only 9 of them left on the pitch..it s redicolous...and Webb has only seen half of the fouls
