England - Slovenia: Slovenia +1.+1.5 @ 1.90

England needs a win, but facing very tough opposition. England is just not able to dominate a team with a solid back and that s exactly what Slovenia has. Slovenia needs a point and they are confident enough (look also for their european qualifiers) to sit back and wait for the counter attack vs. bigger names like England. This match will be very close and more than 1 goal for England is way too much.

USA- Algeria: USA -0.5 @ 1.90 !! 2 units!!

USA just the better team here with ability to score. ALgeria is showing no scoring thread at all.

Germany- Ghana: Germany -1 @1.90 !! 2 units!!

Germany struggled vs. Serbia, but that was actually caused mainly by the bad circumstances (down to 10 men after 35 minutes). even a men down they played well, but just did not take their chances. Ghana has shown nothing to me yet. They scored twice only by penalty and were not even able to explot a 10-men Australia. That s a mismatch here.

of cause both teams are qualified but the first spot is very important as it will end uo from quarter finals on in the much easier side of the draw..with the insentive to finish first i like the better team which is brazil (even at the risk that they only need a draw)

Spain- CHile: over 2.5 @ 1.95

Spain has to win. Chile to get a draw... both teams have potentially good offenses. (chile was higher scoring than Brazil during qualifiers). this could end up in a shoot out like the italy match yesterday

Swiss- Honduras: Swiss -1@ 2.05 !! 2 units!!

Honduras just a bad team. Swiss need a win to advance and a 2 goal win to have good chance to finish first.

Brazil- Holland: Brazil -0.5 @ 2.05

not the strongest of plays as i expect a tight battle, but Brazil has shown in this cup and at qualifiers that they are now a team that knows how to win..also the ugly 1-0 games. Holland is very dangerous and they have players with the skill to deide the match. but they are not really tested so far and Brazil will be a completely different level to all they faced so far. Brazil in a tight one and i also like the under, but scared of a 2-1 result.

Brazil- Holland: over 4 yellows @ 1.98

this one can get nasty. both teams with lots of bookings so far. although they didnt play high tension games. this one is also in big danger that one of the teams is getting very frustrated in the end as both expect to be better tha a quarterfinal status and both teams have shown in the past that their games can turn ugly (especiall the dutch--anybody remembering their portugal match last WC???). i like this much more than the Brazil pick

Uruguay- Ghana: Uruguay -0.5 @ 1.95 !! 2 units!! and under 2 @ 2.05

Uruguay is a tough team. they are coming from a strong defense and have a very dangerous offense with suarez and Fourlan..this guys are winners which came up with plenty of important goals during their european club season at Ajax and Athletico and again here at the WC.
Ghana i still think is not a good team..they beat Serbia by a penalty, were not able to beat a 10 men Australia, lost to Germany (although playing well) and won, IMO, luckily vs. USA. not a lucky win more a weak performance by the US-team. it was not particular difficult to beat somehow tired americans on that day...anyway. only thing going for them is the "africa-theory"..but how can they be regarded a "home team". it s on the same continent, but about 8000 km away. they struggle to score which is not helpful vs. An Uruguay defense and i simply dont see them score here.
This will be one of the "boring" games where i expect a 1-0 or 2-0 Uruguay win.

Ghana yellow card pk @ 1.70 and match total over 4.5 yellows @ 2.08

Brazil game went over and here again we have two very physical team with a tendency to get upset and being hot tempered if result is not in their way. as i expect Uruguay to win i also like Ghana to be the more frustrated team here in the end and getting more booking.

germany- argentina germany pk,+0.5 a@ 1.95

suddenly south america is struggling. i see a similar match to the brazil-holland match today. just not much between the teams. both teams have good offenses but both team respect each other a lot. it should be similar to the WC 2006 where we went with 1-1 into OT and penalties. it s a wide open match and i gladly take the +0.25 and half a win with a draw.
Dont under estimate the germany and be reminded of "Paul the Octopus"

I still view Holland as "Cup Worthy".
They have won every game in the WC finals.

Let's make it simpler and say the risk is 121 to win 100. You would then have two bets,
each to win 50. A 2-0 score would give you a push on the under 2 and a win on under
2.5 with a profit of 50.

Holland- Uruguay: Holland -0.5 @1.78

somehow i like the durch (although as a german i dont like them at all). they play solid, result orientated football,which is a change to the positive for them.
there is a lot of talk about the suspension for uruguay and everybody is jumping on the holland wagon. still i dont see it that clear.
Holland also has a few key suspensions and uruguay s suspension wont change much. ok , suarez is out and everybody says that you can concentrate on fourlan now...does it help? fourlan will still be very dangerous. he is playing as only attacking option whole year for athletico..everybody knew that..tstill they won the EURO-League and he manged to score almost all goals for Madrid.
i expect a very close match (and line movement from holland almost -1,to now holland -0.5 @1.77 shows it s no complete mismatch).
in the end holland still has more options in that one and is the better team. at more than -0.5 no way i would back them..at -0.5 they are the value play.

total is unpredictable...if there is for some reason a goal in first 30 minutes it will open up and an over can be expected..if not it could well end in a maximum 2 goal game..maybe even just 1.
