Slovakia- New Zealand: Slovakia -1 @1.95

Slovakia qualified first from a group with Slovenia and Czech. They play very solid defense and have a mediocre offense.
I dont see New Zealand being able to score here at all. coming from the ozeanic group this should be a mismatch for them and Slovakia should be able to score 2 goals to cover the spread.

Portugal- Ivory COast: under 2 @1.95

Again a clash between two defensive solid teams with struggles up front. i dont care if Drogba is playing or not. These african teams just struggle to score. Portugal barely qualified from europe playing very low scoring matches. if you take away their qualifiers vs. Malta their 8 matches have seen only 14 goals (9-5) and that includes a 2-3 vs. Denmark.
Again here, both teams will be happy not to loose. with Brazil being the power house in group and Korea no match this is the decisive match in group for both of them, so i expect a very cautious approach from both teams.

Brazil- N.Korea: Brazil -2 @1.76

not the strongest of plays as i am not to sure if Brazil wants to run up the score, but as this should be a mismatch they should be able to get at least a push on that.

ML parlay: SLovakia @ 1.56 and Brazil @1.10 for a combine 1.72 !! 2 units!!

CHile- Honduras: CHile -0.5 @ 1.78 !! 2 units!!

basically all is said already here about this matchup. Chile qualified 2nd from south america. they have a very potent offense, scoring almost as many goals as brazil. but they are also conceiding some (33-22 goals from 18 matches). But conceiding shouldnt be such a big problem against Honduras. Honduras qualified third from CONCCAF behing Mexico and USA..actually posting some close matches against these teams, but they are still not on the same level with them. in addition they are missing two of the best strikers )or basically only strikers), which should bring scoring down to zero.
complete mismatch IMO especially considering the key injuries for Honduras.

more to come

Spain- Swiss: under 2.5 @1.88

two european teams clashing here and everybody is big time on spain...i doubt it. they might win,but not at this price. they were storming through qualification but also had no real competition with bosnia and turkey the best teams. they managed to show for 28-5 goals in 10 matches which mainly shows that they have a strong defense. that was also seen during the EURO 2008 where they won. they are capable up front..do doubt, but against tougher defenses they are as well able to win the 1-0,2-0 type matches. and swiss is a tough defense. in 8 qualifiers (if you take away Luxemburg matches)they had a 14-6 goals. they are very low scoring and defense first team and that will be even more shown with their star striker Frei being out.
tough opening match for spain and no blow out here.

first of all a few prop

Argentina- Korea over 10.5 corner @1.90

Korea giving up tons of corners and Argentina will press in a similar way they did vs. Nigeria...still Arg also allowed 4 corners themselves, so korea should add a few themselves to the total

France- Mex over 4 yellow card (1.81) !! 2 units!!
In first match France played a physical game with 6 booking total (3-3), Mexico as well (2-2). Tonight referee Al Ghamdi is known for alot of bookings which should help as well. Mexican skipper also is quoted that this will be a match to fight hard. He expects a battle and they have to be warriors....nice comment if you look for yellow cars

Greece- Nigeria : Greece pk number of offside @ 1.78

Greece will go on counter attack in this match.Nigeria had 0 offsides in first match vs. Arg. , while greece had 4 vs. Korea playing with the same tactics.

Argentina- Korea: over 2 @1.80

i was actually impressed by Korea in first match..they are improoved and play well organised football, even being able to score with some speed upfront.
Argentina will press here most of the time and they should have scored more than 1 vs. Nigeria easily.
i just shy away of the big number for Arg as i see a chance for korea to hang in here by scoring themselves. that should give the over a much better chance to hit. if korea scores it should be an over, if not there is a very good chance Arg at least gets the push by themselves.

Greece- Nigeria: Greece +0.5 @ 1.90 and under 2 @1.75 !! 2units!!

Both losers of first game. Greece coach Rehagel made statement that despite the loss if will even further strengthen the defensive approach and players agree to that (skipper: "we were always succesful to play from a strong defense and go for counter attack, why should we change now")
Nigeria IMO has big trouble scoring. they showed good defense and goalkeeping vs. Argentina, so who should score here???
Greece is definetely not worse than nigeria and with few gaols expected i take them to get at least a draw as well.

Germany - Serbia: over 2,2.5 @ 1.90 !! 2 units!!

i like Germany here, but not at this price. i expect a tough game as teams from Balkan like Serbia or croatia usually play germany very tough. that has to do with extra motivation because most of their players are playing in Bundesliga and these countries are very close to german football. If Serbia is motivated they are a very tough team to beat as they have definetely the skill to play with everybody. dont rust their lackluster performance vs. Ghana. that will be different today.
what is the much better play is the over.
Serbia basically has to win. if they only draw, they are eliminated if Gahna beat Australia which you have to assume.
So they cant hold back and will try to attack the germans. that plays absolutely in the hand of Germany, which is a very fast and good team if they are been given the space to run. you have seen it vs. Australia. they might struggle vs. teams that are compact in midfield, but staying back or leaving space for the fast guys in midfield and up front is not the way to beat Germany.
German defense was not tested vs. Australia and there are still a few questionmarks about how strong it is when seriously attacked.
so i see the following szenarious: Serbia scores first, then they will try to sit back, but are not able to holf germany off...should be the szenario for at least 2 goals.
Germany scores first, then Serbia will open it even more up resuling in either a serbian goal and a great chance for the over again or counter attack which lead eventually to even more german goals.
i just dont see a 1-0,0-1,1-1 type ending. as Serbia has even to open up in the end if the result is 1-1. the worst i can see regarding the total is a 2-0 german win.

USA- Slovenia: SLovenia +0.5 @1.85

why is USA fav? thi will be a close macth. dont underestimate slovenia. they are a tough team to beat as shown in european qualifiers and play-off vs. Russia. they tend to play from a strong defense and go for the one goal as they did vs. Algeria.
USA has not to go for the win. for them it s most important not to loose. if they come out of this with 2 points total and a game vs. Algeria in hand they are in prime position to advance. If you read comments from both coaches and players both teams will be happy with draw, which leaves all chance for final match. that said and expecting a tight affair with two team at the same level IMO, i gladly take the +0.5 which gives me a winner incase of a draw.

two t eam ML: parlay: England ( 1.30) and Germany (1.60) @ 2.08

Must win game for England and although i dont like the way they are playing they should be able to beat Algeria which is not particular strong and basically not able to score (not even against english goalies). one goal might be enough to get the ML win. Germany i like on the ML as i like the space they will be getting from the situation that serbia has to win.
If this parlay does not stand after the german game, i ll probably add england for the night game at -1.5.

Love your yellow card play the most. Germany is a very organized team and i doubt they'll get many yellow cards (if any). On the other hand, Serbia is aggressive and is in a position where they gotta go for a win. I can see Vidic getting dirty with players. I think i'll play that one too
best of luck to both of us, and great to see you back (i remember your german league plays)

yes, especially considering that both yellows vs. Australia were for diving not for fouls. if germany takes the lead, so serbia will be out, there is even a good chance for a red here.
