Ohh, I am in it until the end. But if I can save myself 30-40% on a significant investment, I'll take advantage of it. Like I said, those numbers low PPS numbers are a long-shot, especially with Omnibus tomorrow. I'm just saying, I will always keep a core position in this stock, but I learned on the run to .40 that it is a neccessity to have trading shares. I will always hold a 50k position in this stock, but right now I have almost 75k. I will be ditching those shares when it starts to move over .20 again. My 50k position was started @ .10, so i'm still up almost 30% on that investment. The other 25k I've added in the .30s, .20s, and high/low teens. So, I need to unload those as it starts to move.

Sold my position at .13 yesterday. It's definitely a loss, but it was a very small position and I fully expect the price to go much, much lower. My main reason for selling was because I'm assuming nothing will come out of the hearing, so I'm expecting a massive sell-off after the hearing. I will, however, get back in if the price sinks low enough. I'd like to see it around .07 or so before I get back in. Hopefully selling now doesn't come back to bite me.

Hopefully it does =P Anyways I think the risky fools still in it (read: "me") are the only ones that can get bit (bitten?).

Well it could definitely bite me if the price rockets back up. And to be clear, it's not that I'm selling and never buying back in. I just think there's a good chance the price goes down even further. If the judge doesn't rule in WAMU's favor today, or makes no ruling at all, which I expect to be the case, I think the stock will get hit pretty hard. I MIGHT get back in if the price is low enough and I am confident that they will ultimately win, but right now I just can't say that.

I was on the call today, but it didn't seem like anything happened.

No ruling, and it ended after about 15 minutes.

I have no position in the stock right now, but watching it...

Yeah, nothing happened, but I think that was to be expected. I will continue to watch too, but I think there won't be any new information on this for almost another month now. I think a lot of people thought they were going to jump into this stock and making a million bucks overnight, but that just isn't going to happen. Hopefully it still works out and WAMU is vindicated, but they have a colossal battle on their hands.

What's your opinion of what the stock price will do if the 4Bil is ruled to WMI? Obviously an appeal will be filed... but I wonder what a reasonable estimate for the breaking news pop would be.

I'm curious for answers from everyone on this.

I'm horrible with predictions, but I think if the $4B went to WAMU you would see the price go up at least 3-4x what it is now. And I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up even more. If, on the other hand, they don't get that $4B, I think it would crush the stock. Just my opinion though...

So what's uplifting this stock today?

Jesus is, lol.

Who knows man. People talk about settlement leaks, but IMO that's not gonna happen. Could be dead-cat bounce. Could be people realize there's value here. Who knows.

But, something worth noting is the KQs, PQs, and UQs are all moving together. So, speculate all you like : )

I still think settlement will come, but $8.00/share is a bit unrealistic.

I'm happy to take $4/share, that is $40k for me. !~~~!

I think what made the stock go up is that I sold my position 2 days ago. Pretty funny that the DAY AFTER I bought the stock it went down like 5 days in a row, and right after I sell it it goes up 25%. I thought this bad luck only happened when betting on sports. :think2:

Seriously though, good day for all you guys who are still in the stock. Obviously I'm hoping it drops so I can get a good reentry price, but I'm glad to see some of you made money today.

This is probably what made the stock go up today:

Courtesy of drrugby (the BK lawyer, and now I believe him)

"Did anyone notice the 10b$ IRS bill was denied/exponged?
Yesterday.. 10/28/09.. Very Interesting..
See page 5..

Go WAMU..

DrR.."

He didnt post this until a few mins ago, but it's possible someone else saw this and realized there's gonna be more money for us in the end.

snoop

dont forgot they already got an offer for $8.00 a share and they turned it down. i highly doubt they would settle for 4 at this point. nothing ha changed with there assets from the original offer. They have a strong case but i assure you it will take a long time. Weil & Co are going after way more then $4 a share.

Big day for WaMu tomorrow. Lets see if we get a little rally. Hoping we get something positive out of the federal courts.

Didnt see this article until a few mins ago:

DC Judge To Hold Hearing In WaMu-FDIC Dispute Over Assets
http://www.nasdaq.com/aspx/stock-market-news-story.aspx?storyid=200911031801dowjonesdjonline000681&title=dc-judge-to-hold-hearing-in-wamu-fdic-dispute-over-assets

drrugby on i-hub had this to say:

"I wished that Mr Kendal would have got it right.

The hearing at 2:15 is about dismissing the FDIC counter claims and Staying the Proceeding.

If the DC Court action is stayed.. Delaware here we come.

Because it is Delaware that is to determine the following.

Who is to pay for the assets that were taken, who owns what assets and determine the market value of those assets taken. "
