One of the best lines from today's documents:

"JPMC is making a mockery of the judicial process by seeking to pick and choose when this Court can and cannot exercise its jurisdiction at the expense of Debtors, the creditors, and the federal court system."

I totally agree with you since Providian was another piece of WaMu that JPM stole through their back-door bargaining with the FDIC. Providian will be returned to WaMuQ as well IMO. There should be quite a few interesting developments tomorrow at the Omnibus hearing ... lets see where tomorrow takes us.

I'm still waiting for that number to call in with. I'd love to listen to the courtroom events!

Two Most Important Items

1) Judge Walrath denied JPM's frivilous motion
2) The $4B hearing is officially set for October 8 (12 days from now)

Here is a link to the most important audio segment. The 5th portion. There are at least seven total but this contains the ruling as well as the other two portions that I wanted to show.

Now listen to the first 1:30. JPM's lawyers are basically admitting error and trying to throw the FDIC under the bus.

The ruling is @ 9:25 and subsequent scheduling for the $4B on 10/8/09.

A hilarious bit is at 3:58 when the Quinn lawyer is comparing the redundant arguments of JPM to Groundhog Day and Alice In Wonderland.

Technically on my previous post before of the two important things today, number 1 should be Judge Walrath ruled that the hearing on the $4B can proceed. Number two being that the hearing was set for October 10, twelve days from now.
