Dave we're losin' ya. How can I pull you back in? Dave let me reiterate how it works in the part of the world that still is stuck in the 7th century. You have two types of rule now.
The first are oppressive dictatorships, like Iran and Saudi Arabia. Bitter enemies Shia vs Sunni yet still very similar in how they rule. If you think we have 1%ers here! You have a dictator and his cronies. They grab all the wealth. The population starves and/or is oppressed. You don't speak out against the regime. In order to survive, and keep the people from rebelling the regime must foster hatred into its population in a different direction. Here we have 'The West.' Western Culture, Western decadency, American meddling (whether we are or we aren't), The Great Satan and all its dirty infidels. All the evils of America. I call it "Grievance Politics."
Now you have the jihadis. Also believing America is evil yet also believing the entire world should be one Fundamentalist Islamic State. More religious and more violent than the dictators themselves, and hungry for power they fill vacuums and take over failed states after dictators are overthrown and other regions of countries that are ungoverned, slicing off heads and stoning as they go. They hate us too Dave. They have the same "Jihad To The World!!!" mentality as Iran and the Saudi leaders, and I'm not talking about the song by Three Dog Night. When you give these people "Proof" that America is evil by showing them the face and dead body of one of their heroes you are playing into their Grievance Politics and otherwise "Enflaming The Arab Street." To reasonable minds our Seals killed bin Laden. No need to show pictures to our enemies to confirm what reasonable minds already know.

My problem with you wasn't that you don't talk to everyone, it was that you make trolling like remarks towards me. Now I see how you react to people when they say something that you feel strongly against. Notice how I do not call you the troll in those arguments or try to agitate you when you are arguing against someone as crazy as Sheriff Joe. It's amazing seeing you call them out for a change rather than us. Too bad it only happens when you believe something is worth fighting for.
How funny, you bringing up the subject of objectivity. Does that apply to the Obama administration also. Why did Kerry make the rounds to all the major networks today except Fox talking about the situation in Ukraine. And everyone who thought Benghazi was not an indication of our weakness and trepidation to protect our own should be scratching their heads about now. Then throw in things like canceling parts of our Russian missile defense which weakened the European defense system. Putin just got the focus of the world with the winter Olympics and before that focus was gone he makes a very aggressive move. Benghazi happened on 9/11. Why would we not be on alert world wide on that anniversary. So today Kerry makes the rounds and stiff arms Fox. That defines this administration and tate objectivity does not even reach the level of a veneer. That is obvious. Obama still wants to reduce the size of our military. That shows how his agenda takse precedence over not only the security of the U.S. but for the whole world. Smallest level since 1940. China, Russia, the muslim world are laughing at us and it all falls on the shoulders of Obama and his Administration. He did not even attend the security briefing the day after Russia occupied Crimea. And what is Guesser worried about, a veneer of objectivity. Right.
Thanks for the history lesson on reality. The problem as I see it is the infidels are in a lose, lose situation. I doesn’t matter what we do or don’t do. Diplomacy is useless. Fighting wars in the Middle East, at least the way we fight them, is useless.
The two choices as I see it are, stop sticking our nose into other peoples business or exterminate them. And before you get all righteous about the extermination thingy, nation building sailed after WWII. The humanitarian efforts we try to impose around the world are futile. Example A is Iraq, we liberate and walk away and now we’re right back we started.
The name of the game is dependency. We’re dependant on oil. Now I have to admit that American ingenuity is changing that slowly but surely, but until we become completely independent of Middle East oil we’ll be screwing around over there.
I’m almost considering taking the isolationist stance. Fuck the rest of the world. We can feed ourselves, we can manufacture anything we need (if we get off our lazy asses and return to producing) and I don’t see why we need to be dependant on anyone or anything.

Before the "Obama got Osama" hoax, every intelligence analyst, geopolitical commentator or head of state worth their salt was on record stating that Bin Laden was already dead, from veteran CIA official Robert Baer to Pakistani Minister Benazir Bhutto, to former FBI head of counter terrorism Dale Watson.
Bin Laden hadn't been heard from in half a decade (except purported audio recordings) and would have needed a kidney dialysis machine just to survive. He died many years ago.
Only an ignorant mind would believe a pathological liar like the Kenyan WITHOUT PROOF!
American standards of 'reasonable' don't apply when dealing with this tyrant...more like Saddam Hussein standards...Islamofascist standards. Surely it is worth mentioning that Putin invaded Georgia 3 months before the 2008 election, Bush was a lame duck. Obama is lame also, but he has 3 years left to serve. Totally different. Shows a total lack of respect for Obama which reflects on us as a country. This move by Putin is right in the face not back door.
