Had a good friend who lost a grandfather this weekend. He was in his 90s, in a nursing home, in pretty bad shape. They claimed Corona got him. That will add to the count.

The shitty thing about it is they can't really have a funeral for him because of the social distancing. That is what sucks about the current environment

well anyone hitting 90+, had a good life, at least a long one

funerals are for the living, not the dead....a chance to reconnect with longlost relatives you don't care about anyway, and only see at weddings and funerals which are very corelated.

So when Trump says something that bolsters your point, he's "admitting facts"? And when he says something that doesn't, he's lying?
Got it

No one has any way of knowing the outcome a different strategy would have produced.

LOVE THIS!

First of all, this is exactly what I predicted. When we said they are going to be over a hundred thousand dead, these guys said we are fear-mongering and we are spinning this totally out of control. Now that we are right they want to try and come in and "pretended" like they actually cared and are so "shocked" that we are "celebrating" how right we were.

We know EXACTLY how this outcome could've happened if we were prepared. We know EXACTLY how a different strategy would have produced a different outcome. How do we know?

South Korea and the USA had their first positive test for the coronavirus on the EXACT SAME DAY. Look at their response and look at our response. Look at their total cases compared to their population and look at ours. Those are facts.

Keep lying and making excuses though

a better question , how many deaths to justify shutting down the economy ..... for the record , doubt the death toll will be much different then the normal flu season... that drives TDS folks crazy.. but it is what it is

so we're now approaching the lower end of annual flu deaths.. doubt it hits the higher ends we've had in the past... quoting my post from 3/23 for the goalpost movers here

Number of confirmed coronavirus deaths in the U.S. has reached 20,000.

Annual flu average per year 35-40 k.

Coronavirus. Month and a half 20K. With shutdown restrictions in place. You are stupid as fuck.

No reason to not take this seriously , but no one yet is suggesting this is the plague.. So lets not panic folks.

State the biggest Health Advisory possible

Travel bans placed where needed

Quarentine the elderly and the people with health issues.

Stay home if your sick and not feeling well.

Social distancing

Wash your hands

Rest of population resume normal activities and practice safe health agenda

I'm sure many of the sick and dead in Louisiana would have remained well if a more prudent decision to cancel or postpone Mardi Gras would have been made.

They kept the party on because of money and now many lives have been lost and lost tourism revenue will outweigh what was gained by having Mardi Gras.

Florida has a very similar situation.

Seems like FL holding up pretty well though.

Might get hit more economically as service industry is huge there.

Problem is we actually have no idea how many of those were actually from Covid 19
With how they are counting deaths per Dr Birx you can't cite those numbers as being accurate....
