j.c., i think old man has a point.........as most good cappers have as part of their psychological make-up, big EGOS, (not a BAD thing btw ,when it comes to sports betting ) i too think you should just post the names you feel are the best and let the chips fall where they may.............i really think you have something useful here, and your list looks good from here ............i know that i chk all the names on that list daily, so it would definitely help ME !!! My feeling was that it became sort of an elite thing that turned into something where input from the average user was actually discouraged...
I would prefer to see everyone's opinions considered, even the people who don't do so well all the time. Even those people have info to offer and in fact have thier own strengths that could be considered.

GENERAL...excellent!!..hope you'll see to it that this remains a clean thread with no sniping or polotics involved..I belive a thread like this would be a great way to showcase what a truly great lineup of cappers you have here!!! That should be THE ONE AND ONLY objective of this thread!!!!!
But again it sounds like this is just another attempt to "Walmart" the process of reading through threads in order to offer an easy way of having everything in one place at the lowest cost...
The fact is that this can be accomplished by simply having a tracking system for the CBB forum. I believe this was attempted before but I dont know what happened to it.
The general's idea of posting your records with everyone else policing everyone's records seems like the best idea - and is actually the way we do it now - only there isnt one single summary thread where the results of the day or week end up.
Also who is going to determine who the "great" cappers are - around here there are people that are consistently doing well, but the fact is that most of us - that have been posting over time anyway, regularly slide above and below the 50% mark...
A tracking thread is a good idea - but an elite capper thread I still think alienates the people not selected from posting their opinions, and many times those opinions will be missed because people will go right to the elite thread and ignore the other posters.

JAYPAW..understand the concern..this is why i mentioned having an impartial person such as the general do this, i belive common sense would prevail and that RX readers would take notice that alot of great info and plays are coming off this site!..and would go to the hot cappers own threads for more info...DANO
The thread is intended to help, not hurt, and, if someone isn't adult enough to understand that, it's simply too bad. This isn't a babysitting board, but rather, a board to help people win, and this would be just another tool. Nobody is ever discouraged from giving input, just not to that thread. It's a way to navigate, more readily and easily, through the games being played by guys that are consensus winners (Co Captain, Kodiak, etc. etc. etc.).

I would actually like to see it happen. I just think that selecting who can and cant post is inherenlty exclusive so you'll inevitably miss good info from some people.

The line has to be drawn somewhere, and, inevitably, and by definition, it has to be chosen by someone. Nobody will miss any information, as I, for one, will also be checking in on other people's thread. The point is, if someone WANTS to only look at the best cappers on the board (as subjective or exclusionary as that may be), this is going to be an easy way to do it. If there is good information out there, and, they continue to post winners, they will be invited to post to the thread as well. It's that simple.
