3k Dallas -106 (LOST)

Five of the last seven overall outings of the Stars have already cruised past regulation. Two of the previous three matchups of the Wild have reached the shootout, while half of the most recent four head-to-head encounters between Dallas and Minnesota have given at least a point for each team. Having said that, do also back the Stars for the whole contest! They are riding a four-game winning streak versus opponents from the Western Conference and have already snatched four victories in their previous six clashes against the Wild. Minnesota, meanwhile, is a disappointing 2-5 in its last seven contests against teams with a winning record.

2k LA Kings -105 (BIG WIN)

The Kings own plenty of offensive weapons and will torture the Ducks’ defense. Anaheim is one of the worst defensive teams in the league, and John Gibson has been awful all season, so I’m backing the Kings to beat the puck line. The Ducks have allowed a whopping 20 goals over their previous three outings. On the other side, the Kings have scored four or more in five of their last six games overall. LA is undefeated in four straight meetings with Anaheim, beating the puck line in three of those four contests.

3k Arizona -134 (WON)

In the previous meeting, the Coyotes scored two goals in each of the three periods, and Columbus did not even get on the board until scoring three late goals after they already trailed by five. Ingram made 30 saves in that game while two Columbus netminders allowed six goals on just 18 shots.

That Arizona dominated the Blue Jackets is not surprising. This team is not very good at either end of the rink, ranked 30th in both goals allowed per game and goals scored. They get that odd game where things come together now and again, but they have struggled all season, especially on the road. Arizona is not doing well, but they have the offense to make this a tough night for the Blue Jackets.

The Penguins lost three of their last four games, but they’re playing well at home where they have won four of their last six games. They are playing well offensively and scored nine goals in their last three games. They’ve also played well on special teams, converting over 21 percent of their power play opportunities. The Islanders usually play well defensively, but they struggled in recent games, giving up at least four goals in four of their last five games, so expect them to have a hard time slowing down the Penguins in this game. The Islanders have lost four of their last five games and four of their last five road games. They’ve struggled offensively in recent road games, scoring only eight goals in their last four road games. They’ve also struggled on special teams, converting only 17 percent of their power play opportunities. The Penguins aren’t great defensively, but they play better at home and won’t have trouble slowing down the Islanders in this game. Go with Pittsburgh to cover the spread.

2k Seattle +151 (LOST 5-6)

Seattle enters playing very well as well, as they saw their four-game point streak snapped with the loss on Monday. They have won three straight games at home and are 4-1-1 in their last six home contests. The trendy thing would be to go with Boston, but Seattle is playing exceptionally well and has proven that they can stymie this Boston offense.

2k Nashville -119 (BIG WIN 6-2)

The last time these teams met in San Jose, the Sharks had two one-goal leads in this contest, but gave up the lead and eventually lost, 3-2. Kahkonen made only 15 saves in that game. The one saving grace the Sharks have is that Saros has struggled of late, but Nashville is getting enough offense to be able to make up for his mediocre performance.

4k Winnipeg -106 (LOST)

Colorado is one of the hottest teams in the NHL, going 4-1-2 in the month of February. That has them nipping at the heels of the Jets, but Winnipeg returns home where they have been dominant this season. The Jets have won their last three games at home and are 7-2-0 in their last nine contests in their own barn.

They have beaten Colorado twice this season already and have won the last three meetings dating back to last April, outscoring the Avalanche 13-4. This is a team that is not the least bit intimidated by the defending champs, so look for them to pull out of victory to add a little distance between them and the Avalanche.

2k Seattle +131 (LOST)

Seattle had been playing very well at home but took a tough loss against Boston on Thursday. However, that is no reason to turn on the Kraken in their own building. This is a team that was playing quite inconsistently in their own rink but looks like they are getting things right. The big deal for the Kraken is that they are getting some scoring touch in their own rink, and have scored 15 total goals in their last three home contests. This is a team that is starting to see some offensive production, and they should have some success against the Maple Leafs.

The last time these teams met Jones was spectacular, stopping 26 of 27 shots. He has struggled recently, allowing at least four goals in four straight games, but should have enough in this game to give Seattle the victory.
