I didn't interpret it that way at all. I don't think the infection drives you mad, I just think Shane was cracking under the pressure. And pissed because so many people were bitching & whining.
Think about road rage in America, then multiply those feelings by a couple million. That's the stress/anger of living in Zombie World.
I guess my only nitpick on this show is, per zombie lore, if you get any fluid from a zombie in your mucus membranes, you should get infected. They are constantly shooting and crushing zombie heads at close range, so undoubtedly they are getting splashed with zombie goo. This should cause them to get infected, but it doesn't on this show.
I think this was already answered. It was foreshadowing that they're all infected, without bites or scratches. Then how do you explain the two security guards who were zombies with no bite marks? They (the writers) showed them for a reason, and made it clear by the dialog that they didn't have any marks.
Of course I'm just speculating but the two security guards had no trauma so it appears they didn't die and then reanimate. I think they just turned...as Shane would have had Rick not killed him.
It's a long time until fall. I'm thinking about taking up the comics.
if the disease turned everyone no matter what before death, i doubt it would effect men in good shape the fastest, normally like all diseases, elderly, kids, and those with weak system would be more vulnerable. as someone who glanced at the comics awhile back ur barking up the wrong tree
I think that after seeing a lot of zombie movies, TV shows, and reading a lot of zombie lore and learning about the idiotic things that the characters do, I could totally survive a zombie apocalypse.
