I think living in that kind of whorl would eventually drive most to the brinks of insanity. Rick does look like he's becoming Shane, or maybe he was just having a moment, and needed to vent.

Said the same thing about Carl, when he shot Zombie Shane.

The shooting scenes are even more ridiculous when you consider most of them aren't experienced with guns (or weren't experienced with guns, prior to the infection).

I guess Rick wasn't kidding when he said Shane was the best firearms instructor. Couple hours with him, everybody is James Bond 007?

I didn't interpret it that way at all. I don't think the infection drives you mad, I just think Shane was cracking under the pressure. And pissed because so many people were bitching & whining.

Think about road rage in America, then multiply those feelings by a couple million. That's the stress/anger of living in Zombie World.
