Negative Chazz. He was fired. His father confirmed on a rant against AMC and Gimple. AMC and Gimple annoyed at the raise he asked to film this season.

He was to become TWD's lead after Rick Grimes died in the story (which has not happened in the comics but some argue is close to happening, especially since he lost a hand in the comics and his body is all banged up).

How much you think Rick makes an episode? $1mill or over is my bet. $750k absolute minimum. I know Norman Reedus makes the same as Andrew Lincoln (Rick).

Things we know:
*Chandler (Carl) asked for a raise for current season 8, which was granted but not without hassle from AMC.
*Carl is the 2nd biggest character in the comics, on the show that spot is for Daryl.
*Chandler was told by the showrunner that he was needed for at least 3 seasons more (9, 10, 11).
*Chandler bought himself a property in Georgia after being told he was needed for 3 more seasons.
*He was fired 2 months before his 18th bday... with no notice, he only knew this when he was filming the episode in which he gets bit.
*Andrew Lincoln (Rick) is rumored to be extremely unhappy with the decision and demanding an end game plan for the show in 2 seasons.

Kid was thrown under the bus either by AMC (using Gimple as a puppet) or Gimple himself...

granted for having poor acting skills as well, but poor actor or not you dont kill the story to save some $$$ or avoid dealing with some acting classes (or tons of takes to get a good performance).... BOTTOM LINE, kid is 17, he can still become a way better actor, TWD shoot themselves in the foot, most fans say theyll still watch but are done supporting Gimple or AMC with the show...

Actually TWD actors don't make that much. They can kill them off at anytime and showrunners say people tune in for the show and it is not driven by any particular actor even though Rick is the lead. The TWD actors make their real money at fanfests and they can do them for years after they are killed. They do them in every major city. Norman Reedus gets $100 an autograph and $100 per picture. The admission to WalkerStalker is $90 for two days and they also VIP levels at $220, $700 and $1400. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is sold out for both autographs and pics at Nashville fest coming up next month. I wouldn't be surprised doing 8 shows a year they make $200,000. Chandler Riggs will be raking it in for years to come. It's only 16 days a year with travel probably about 32 days.

From Forbes magazine 2016

According to published reports, Andrew Lincoln earns $90,000 per episode for his work on The Walking Dead. While that’s a very nice payday by 9-to-5 standards--$1.44 million a year--it’s a relative pittance compared to the salaries of the highest paid actors on television’s highest rated shows.

watched it on demand, it's not bad, just not that good. Instead of episodes where the plot is based on fighting other groups, with the enemy getting more and more evil, maybe they should dive into a plot where they are discovering what caused the virus. That new plot line would be fresh, and could revive the show.

Its beyond fixing at this point

The only thing i'm mildly interested in is finding out how Rick dies. Very pathetic though that AMC had to announce that he dies just to desperately attempt to get some viewers

Bump

Two episodes left for Rick

The man has been through so much. I wish I was more invested but the show failed the fans for two seasons in a row

I am interested to see where they go with Negan. If they simply kill him off or make him a significant part of the show again.

The show kind of fell off my radar after they killed off the Governor, but I enjoyed it up until that point. Was it still good for a few seasons after that, or not really worth watching? I'd missed a few seasons and never really got back into watching it.

Rick's gone

AMC announced they are making 3 movies about his life.

AMC dropped the ball on this show. It was something special doe the first 5 or 6 years. It should have ended sooner. What a shame

This season is actually better than last season IMO. Seems like I'm the only diehard still watching. It's still no where as great as it used to be, and I dont get excited for it every week. It does have potential to be great again. Last week's episode was decent.

First season was great. Then it spun off into SJW apocalypse.

Like having the show Bonanza.... and then in the third season they make Hoss fall in love with a horse and they spend three seasons debating if Hoss should marry the horse.

That's the state of modern television/shows.

They are making a new show that's part of the walking dead universe. Its about an illuminati type group, bunch of rich elites that have survived, that look to be into the occult. So it might be up your alley watching illuminati slaughter SJW's, if that's where they are going with it. The new series looks pretty good.

Just heard that Walking Dead is being canceled. Season 11 will b the last. Weird just a year ago they were talking about it going another 10 years. Show was dragging though since probably season 7. The last season was a little bit better than 9, but 9 was also not that good.
