I liked the 1st season but the 2nd season was kaka!!!! from the begining when they were using binoculars and scopes but 100's of zombies came within 6 car lengths before being spotted???? then u have the idiot of a little girl whos the 1st to come out of hiding and what a suprise the zombie is right there...and they spend the next 6 episodes looking for the idiot.....everyone becomes a head shot specialist, kid gets his leg stuck on the spike blah blah vet says they have to amputate rick just lifts the kids leg right off it and a couple days later the kid has a little limp but has no problem moving......and carl ohhhh wonderful carl, his moms a bitch and brings nothing to the show and should die already, flips a car fights off zombies with her bare hands, wtf kill that bitch already...I havent forgot about carl, throwing rocks at one and then runs away........wtf kid that little shmuck already......this show pisses me off, yes I know its zombies but the writing was garbage......the best line in the entire season was "nebraska's nice".......really disappointing

I can't disagree with a single thing you said. But I still like the show.

Just finished reading Compendium One, which is the first 48 issues of the graphic novel. The book and the TV do have their similarities, but I think the book is more brutal, graphic, and IMO, realistic(relatively speaking).

The writers of the TV show said things are going to get pretty insane in Season 3. If they follow the events that occurred in the prison as they are in the book, it will be awesome to watch.

Nice, can't wait. I heard that because it's in a prison there should be plenty of Democrat tax cheat zombies to kill. Just sayin ; )

Just how insane is it going to get?

POTENTIAL SPOILERS

Showrunner Glen Mazzara discusses some of what's ahead in season three:

The prison is a threatening presence in itself. The prison is a haunted house. The prison is not as safe as our group or the audience may want it to be. There is still a lot of danger always lurking within the prison and beyond the prison walls... Rick is a very strong leader. There's a lot of emotional baggage coming out of Season 2. And yet, all of the characters will develop in an organic yet surprising way...We're interested in exploring Carl as a child soldier in this war against the walkers. He's no longer the young child who needs to be minded. That Carl is gone. Now Carl is on a character path in which he becomes as instrumental to the group as Rick or Daryl (Norman Reedus) or anyone else.

They also look even further ahead to what the show will do beyond the third season. Robert Kirkman even seems to walk back his earlier declarations that the show won't cut off Rick's hand like he did in the comics, which I'm sure Andrew Lincoln is just thrilled to hear:

Yeah, and as we get closer to the story line, I don't want to remind people that I set things in stone like that. Constantly, we're up against things in the comics where it would be awesome if Rick could... oh, Rick can't do that, he only has one hand. That is something that I regret, but I wouldn't put it past us. I'm not ruling anything out. Season 3 is going to be pretty nuts.

It sounds as though the Governor and Michonne could be around long beyond the third season's sixteen episodes. There's tons more at the link.

Terrible premiere. The show was at its best when they are on the move..so of course they skip ahead 6 months to find another place to film the entire season. We go from walking dead on the farm to walking dead in a prison.

Im not 100% sure but I think going to the prison is a big part of the comic book

I thought it was awesome. They killed more zombies in this episode than they did the entire last season up to the finale.

If they follow the comic, shit is going to get insane. Their time at the prison will be nothing like when they were on the farm.

Awesome premier, very exciting. Glad to see that Carl grew up a bit during the break, he was beginning to get on my nerves and now he is a total badass.
