Yea. By all means, do not pay me for my NBA picks. I will never again try and sell those. I stink. Plain and simple. Me and Dog are the two best last year in MLB. Also a fact. I experimented with NBA and it burnt me, and I've learned my lesson. MLB is a horse of a different color however.

Close to 2 years now. And I don't think I know more than everyone. I know more than some. Some know more than me. I know more than most in MLB. I know less than most in NBA. It's all relative.

"The only difference is that the stock market looks to be fairly volatile right now. You give money to make you money back. It's a risk. "

Please "DO NOT" campare the stock market with "GUESSING" on a sporting event outcome.

On a given day a "TEAM - A" can beat "TEAM - B".

You my friend have a 50% chance on being on the right side of the result. The next day brings a different event.

When you Invest In the stock market, the long term Is Involved and a viable product must be marketed etc. etc.

So please don't comapre "TOUTING" to stock market Investing.

You are wrong here. If you do research, you don't have a 50% chance to win. You improve your chances. By your reasoning, an investment in the stock market has a 50% chance of gaining money. You gain or you loss. That is not how it works.

Jake- The one thing that I will give you credit for is that you do answer in a respectful manner and seem to be honest. On the other hand you have not spent nearly long enough in <gambling school> to even have a 3rd grade education in it. Hopefully you'll keep your gambling stakes low until you at least get a high school education in the world of gambling.

Jake, I so badly want to challenge you to a head-to-head contest in MLB that I'm going to explode.

If you have any interest in putting some money on such a contest, we can work out ground rules and stuff, we have almost a whole month.

On second thought, it occurs to me there is an apt analogy for gambling touts in the "investing" world. That of course would be the infamous "penny stock tout or promoter" who is someone who convinces unsophisticated individuals to buy worthless bits of paper by preying on their greed and desire for easy riches. Hmmmm. glad you brought it up.

If I remember right, Benjamin Graham was a big proponent of penny stocks, or at least extremely cheap stocks. One of the richest men in the world at one time.

Haven't had a chance to read your whole post, but there should definitely be a link to this thread in the RR Dictionary under "RR BONE"

First off, you are correct on the slander/libel issue. I'll remember it next time. The website is just time consuming. Since I last updated it I have won about 5 units. It isn't I am trying to hide things. I just don't get around to it. In the last month I've gained close to 13 units in NHL and haven't lost any money in NBA. It's just a pain to update daily. I agree it should be done though.

honor doesnt exist among either of these groups because a thief can never be trusted by anyone, and there is always a gambler who is looking to make a quick buck off of other gamblers.

nothing makes me sicker than the people that come here and build a following with full intentions of becoming a tout.

jake i dont know if you started out with that in mind, but i do know you were contemplating it, long before you actually did it. same thing dogball did. probably rodfather too.

I never started out that way but it came into my mind a few months before I actually did it. After I established myself as having some knowledge in baseball.

raiders. lol high school??? 2 years puts him firmly in elementary school (about 4th grade imo)

jake, 2 years aint squat my friend and the fact that you did well in baseball ly or even 2 years running means nothing regarding your future success. if you'd been doing this longer than 2 years you'd already know that, but i'm sure you'll learn.

Jake , your last shot is baseball, as you proved you knew nothing about the other sports...

I believe you had a good grasp of underdogs in baseball...

But you should pack it in as far as selling picks...

NO ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO DO THAT, BUILD A FOLLOWING THAN SPLIT AND SAY........ "LOOK GUYS I`M OVER HERE NOW, COME PAY"

One thing about Touts they all have that CAN DO NO WRONG ATTITUDE, it amazes me!

I agree, my picks in other sports are not worth paying for. I've won some money in some sports, lost money in NBA, but am not up over 10 units in any other the sports I won cash in. Hard to say that is worth paying. The last thing I should do is pack it in during the one sport I know 100% I can cap. After the baseball season, I'll probably rest on the idea of selling picks for a year. But the last thing I should do is pack it in during the one sport where I am really good.

Also, I don't think I have a can't do wrong attitude at all. I'm fully open about admitting to my mistakes I've made. I'm not perfect. I know that. I just think I'm good at baseball.

so take me on Jake. Please!!!

Its not like I'm some genius lurking in the shadows. Last time I challenged someone on the RX it was Cardfather to a 1 dime head to head game of poker at WSEX and I got my ass kicked.

I just like the thrill of the 1-on-1 battle... and the 0% juice wager we can place on it!

Haha. Gambling stakes will be rediculously low until I get out of college and pay all the debt off.

We would need a third party to do this, because with my position as a tout, I can't post my whole card. Also, any wager with me would have to be pretty small. I'm in college, and have little money. If you still want to partake, I'm interested, but I can't lay huge slabs of cash down. Let me know. Jake@mbpicks.com.

I understand where you are coming from, but 37 units over 700 picks, well, I just can't see it as a fluke.

Jake-
YOu are a good guy and I wish you well this year. Remember last years success does not guarantee you will do well this year. I hope you do, your fees are very reasonable and your analysis was often solid. I hope you learn to think a bit outside the box this year, it is not so easy as just reading the facts off the paper. Just make sure you are humble or any sport can beat you up good and quick.
Also, Raiders and I will agree here, two years is nothing in the gambling world. Listen to what DICKY W says about this as well, keep it all in perspective and remember -I do not know one successful gambler who has not been to hell and back a few times. I guess you could be the exception but you are very early in your gambling career. I think you have an auspicious future certainly as It pertains to bases and hope you build a roll large enough to pay off some of those loans.

The RX Rules

mj- I only gave him a 3rd grade edu. I told him to wait until he has a HS edu.

Dog- I think the worst thing that could have happened to this kid is his early success. It went to his head. No one learns this game in one season.
