Seriously.....I hate sounding skeptical and suspicious of such matters, but this is a betting forum and I would bet my bottom dollar that there is MUCH more to this story than meets the eye.

Somebody on another forum made a good point. Shrink and his wife met a lot of people over the years through eog and therx bashes. I am sure some of them would like to know what the funeral arrangements are to pay their respects. If that information is withheld, there is nothing left to believe that this is all a hoax and a pretty disgusting one at that. It would make me give up online forums for life.

You might want to consider doing that anyways, you obviously have too much vested in the posting world.

And Rupert, congrats on your #315th Big Labowski quote posted on the Rx.

EOG Mourns the Loss and Celebrates the Lives of Kenneth and Jackie Weitzner

As the first light of dawn creeps over the horizon sadness looms over Eye on Gambling and its posting body. EOG's founder Kenneth Weitzner aka "The Shrink" and his beloved wife Jackie aka "Scarlett" passed away on Saturday April 10, 2010.

At this time, the details of their death have not been officially made public and when or if the family so chooses they can release these details when they are ready.

The staff here at Eye on Gambling extends our deepest condolences to Ken and Jackie's two sons, five grandchildren, his mother, sister and nephew, Lenny, immediate family, and dear friends.

We would also like to thank those that have offered assistance to us in this time of tragedy including the other forum owners for the respectful manner in which they are handling the threads at their own forums.

Ken's influence and presence in the offshore gambling world will not be forgotten. Ken is well known throughout the industry for his formation of the The Prescription in 1997, which he later sold in 2002. However, he remained on staff until 2005. In 2005, he founded Eye on Gambling and up until his death ran the day-to-day operations of the site.

On a personal level, Ken was known for his shrewd, innovative business ability, his generosity, his humor, and his willingness to help others. His infectious personality will be a lasting memory for those he left behind. His love for his family and friends, Old Dominion, the Yankees, and the Jets was well known amongst the posters.

He had a kind and caring nature that many did not get the privilege to witness. His passion and drive for the industry and life led him to have many people who dearly cared about him as well as those that did not like him at all.

For those of you that attended the first EOG Blast, you had the pleasure to meet Jackie. She was a very gracious and considerate woman. She had a wonderful smile that made everyone feel important and welcome. She was the strong will in the family and family was extremely important to her. She adored her sons and grandchildren.

The void left by these two wonderful people never will be completely filled both in the offshore gambling world and in the lives of family and friends.

And I dont mean to be rude or anything like it. If thats what it comes across as, I appologize, but everything just seems strange as hell. Perhaps its just the way it has been handled that leads to this.

Not for nothing Wil ,but I can see Ken writing that himself , it kinda looks like his prose ... Ive read alot of his posts over the years .... which staff member coined it ? You would think they would want to be known ?

I did most of it

However Jimmy Hoffa, John Kelly, crazytrain and a few others helped.

I also received assistance from wilheim as to the dates listed in the article as I had no desire to search for them..

I have always placed EOG staff on articles when I write them and I swear on my children's lives that Ken had no part in the writing of this article aside from him being the subject matter.

One would think if there was an explosion or an accident with multiple deaths that there would be a news story picked up somewhere. Doesn't seem like there are any. Kinda suspicious in my book.

This what I am about to say is just based on procedures I know about. It is in no way a reflection on the people in this specific situation. I don't know any of those mofos, so don't go there with me.

Anyway, it is common for the law enforcement and intelligence agencies to suppress stories, and plant stories, in order to preserve ongoing "situations."

The local police are looking into, as they have already said. FBI are on it as well, based on Ken's business dealings.
