My source is stymied, and he usually isn't so left out in the cold. He cannot understand why the autopsy took only 45 minutes for BOTH bodies, and he doesn't understand how the body of Weitzner is to be cremated, even though he's a devout Jew. What was supposed to be a simple ten minute check turned into about 2 hours of information gathering. His conclusion? He states that if this were his family, he'd be hiring his own investigators to get to the bottom of this deal, and would definitely ask for a legal hold on cremation.

But that's the opinion of someone not associated with any of the Weitzner's, the law enforcement community in Chesapeake and even the VA State Police. As someone who has a general respect for most law enforcement agencies, this leaves me troubled at best.

And that is where I myself will leave it, and wish the family well.

CHESAPEAKE

A husband and wife who died over the weekend apparently committed suicide, although their deaths are still under investigation.

Police received a report of a double suicide Saturday morning in the 2100 block of Hickory Forest Drive. They arrived at 10:42 a.m., according to police. The cause of death won't be officially known until toxicology reports become available.

That could take up to 12 weeks, said Officer Dorienne Boykin, Chesapeake police spokeswoman.

The couple who died are Kenneth and Jacqueline Weitzner. Kenneth Weitzner was a retired psychiatrist who once ran an online sports gambling magazine called The Prescription from his Chesapeake home.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Great Bridge Chapel of Oman Funeral Home & Crematory on Cedar Road, according to the pair's obituary.

Damn, so he really is gone. I say foul play, this is just strange.

I watch a lot of forensic files, and I look to seeing it on there on day.

RIP Ken and Jackie

Those who decide to take their own life, just can't do life on lifes terms, bottom line.

They are a few sandwiches short of a picnic basket too
It isn't that simple. You have no idea what some people go through in life, and the trauma they have faced. One of my friends committed suicide a couple years after being raped. She couldn't deal with it anymore. Was she weak and selfish? Puh-lease.

It's very easy for people to judge, when they haven't been in another's shoes. Those people better hope they don't have to face difficult circumstances. You never know how you would react, if you had the burdens that some other people have.

I'm not here to argue. its my opinion. There is always someone that has it worse, period.

My uncle was raped by his neighbor for 5 years as a kid, he studders to this day, but got the thearpy he needed and is living life as best as he can.

We all have different make ups, do different things for different reasons. Some can handle what life throws at them and some decide to kill theirself. so be it, as is life.

also, it must be a horrible place to be, to actually be able to take your life. What can be that bad to take your own life? Mental illness plays a HUGE role for sure

sure we have all thought about it, some more detailed than others, but no way I would do it.

Hitler killed his dog before committing suicide with Eva Braun.

That guy must have been truly sick to do such a thing.

I want to end my life in suicide, always have.....I don't want to take anyone with me, I think I have to go on the side of caution, can't wait until ....unable to do it. Tough situation, but the Weitzner' folks did it for financial, not health reasons....I'd prefer to check out , for health reasons.... like my liver is shot, or something.

Is Tony related to Ken?

I just got back from Vegas and was out of touch with any forum. However, I'm just reading a book named, "Smart Money" by Michael Konick, and even though he used an alias for the Shrink as well as Billy Walters, who the book is almost all about, he mentions the Shrink as "The Doctor" and the Rx forum as something else who's name escapes me.

He said the Shrink wanted his commission from his winnings at WSEX for putting this guy in touch with them. This guy Konick placed bets for the Computer Boys, called the Brain Trust in the book, and had to go offshore when his limits were cut in Vegas. This was in the period from 1997-2000.

He says when the Shrink owned the Rx, he outed this guy in a thread, stating he worked for Walters. This put a lot of pressure on him to get bets down anywhere.

Book is a great read by the way, and you can get it on Amazon.

nah, just saying if a guy offs himself, it doesn't make him a bad guy. depending on the person and situation, it might be the most practical choice. i'm not gonna call a guy a coward because he offs himself. some people would prefer to take their chances with the afterlife than to face the burden of digging out of a deep hole. but the whole "take everybody with me" attitude is pretty shitty. it would be hard enough answering for my own death, let alone for taking the lives of others. it's why i don't understand the whole "kill 20 people and then myself" M.O. can't really be a 100% sure of what's out there, so why take a chance of having someone else's blood on your hands?~~:<<
taking of your own life is pure chicken shit cowardly way of dying, but worse yet it can show how selfish one can be....nothing can ever be that bad my friend that time can't heal....please think things through before ever taking your own life....you made it this far on this site wothout doing yourself in..lol...so it can't be any worse....bol..
