He wants to win this game.
As far as preseason QB rotations go, the Denver Broncos are pretty set.
They will start the game with Jarrod Stidham, a veteran who has seen a lot of time as a starter.
Then Sean Payton will send rookie Bo Nix out of Oregon to have some fun before handing the latter part of the game off to Zach Wilson.
Payton has made no bones about it, he wants a winning culture this preseason.
I love that rotation.
The Colts will play Anthony Richardson for a series or two, who returns from that shoulder injury.
After that is anyone's guess as to how the game will play out.
Joe Flacco could see time, followed by Sam Ehllinger and then a pair of youngsters in Kelly Slovis and Jason Bean.
Bottom line: If Richardson, Flacco and Ehlinger don't do the brunt of the scoring in this one, I don't see Bean and Slovis doing much if anything in their debuts.

On Saturday I isolated the Jags over the Chiefs noting the QB rotation of the Jags was just to good with Trevor Lawrence, CJ Bethard and Mac Jones.
After Mahomes I noted the Chiefs would struggle and the Jags would keep coming and that is exactly what happened.

He got the call up to Triple A St.Paul and was rock solid there leading up to his call up the Big leagues Sunday for his Major league debut tonight.

First start of the year on March 30th he went 6 scoreless innings and at Minnesota on May 29th, he went 6 innings again allowing 1 run in the 6-1 win.
In 6 career games versus the Twins Lugo has an ERA of 0.75.
