Actually I don't think he's paying for many shows anymore. Most won't have him on even if he paid. As far as I can tell he's down to 5 weekly radio and podcast hits. All 5 are low level garbage. The Bleav Podcast has cycled through 2 hosts and 3 other handicappers because they all probably couldn't stand Lang. The 4 radio hits in Bakersfield, Columbus , Louisville and Memphis can't have more than a handful of people listening. I'm sure most listeners when they hear the Lang segment is coming up move on to doing something else. Most hosts wind him up and let him complain each week about his bad beats while they cackle in the background. From someone that probably had 25-30 weekly radio hits his career is at the tail end. Listening or watching Lang these days is like watching or listening to a Rudy Giuliani. Most of the interview is fantasy and incoherent rambling.

For him to currently have a show in those towns proves some are still listening and PT Barnum is right a sucker born every minute.

There aren't many suckers left because he has almost no exposure. He now works full time as an Uber Eats driver or golf caddy and handicapping seems to be a part time 30 min to one hour at most each day sideline gig. The host in my hometown who I know well said he gets 3-4 emails a year from Lang's handlers looking to have him on the radio for a segment or as a weekly guest. He said Lang also walks by to every radio station on radio row during Super Bowl week looking for takers. He said maybe 1 out of 10 take the bait and the takers are usually 2nd or 3rd best radio stations from big or medium cities or places like Richmond, VA or Tulsa, OK who are there for the 1st time and don't know any better. One city used to have him on as a spoof and they were fading all his plays and talking about which stories they thought were made up. Lang was oblivious as to what was going on until I think someone eventually tipped him off and he stopped calling in.

I don't think it is a stretch to say that Lang is a masochist at heart and actually derives pleasure from losing and being

berated and the person/object of derision!!

This is difficult to understand because most normal people say and do things to make themselves look good in the

eyes of others as well as in their own eyes!!

However, in the case of someone like Lang, the general axiom doesn't always apply because for the norm for them is failure rather

than success!!

In their mind, they somehow translate this to mean that it is their best interest to keep trying to "succeed" in what they do best, namely

to fail!!

Thus and to simply this, it means that continuing to fail(in this case continued losing with the picks), it will engender a negative

response and most importantly ATTENTION even though of a negative type.

Thus in the manner in which minds like Lang and others like him work, they have "succeeded" in their goal of bringing attention

to themselves which is all that matters!!

I think this is a great thread and hope it continues for a long time.

That said, imo if this thread for whatever reason ceased, there would be a big letdown and withdrawal for Lang who reads this thread

on a daily basis, for the simple reason that a big source of his "enjoyment' was/is no longer there, meaning he would have to seek out

another source of attention!!

For people like Lang, their worst fear is not being laughed at and scorned but being completely ignored, which is the typical

modus operandi of an internet troll!!

I wonder if anyone gets that Steve Stevens clown (Darin Notaro). He's literally the only guy I've seen that is much, much worse than Lang and amazingly, he's much less likeable.

He's the kind of guy taht Pimpy should truly call a scumbag. Lang isn't even close to as much of a chode or idiot as Notaro is. Funny enough, they both changed their names and I think last year they did one youtube video together in Vegas.

Probably 1st and most glaring flaw & sickness is he's a pathological liar. He's obviously also has a Narcissistic & Histrionic Personality Disorder. He might have some other stuff going on. Remember his dad left the family at a young age. There has to be some serious problems that come from that act.

RidgeRider-you may very well be right in your analysis because logically it does make sense.

However, what I suggested is more on a subconscious level on his part and thus obviously subjective on

my part based on my understanding of psychology and human nature!!

What this means by my way of thinking is that what you posted may well be true, but does not mean it that is has exclusivity

to what I posted!!

As I see it, all of the failings and reasons for Lang's failures and modus operandi are intertwined to some extent, meaning

that it is possible that the lines of demarcation can become blurred and indistinguishable with certain topics that apply to Lang.

Obviously, the most important thing here is not whose analysis of Lang is more correct and/or if either one is, but the

overall conclusion and agreement of who and what Lang is as a handicapper and human being!!
