They are playing well when he pitches.

In Taijuan Walker's 21 starts this year the Phillies are 15-6.

Walker is 11-4 overall with an ERA of 4.06 and he is pitching his best baseball right now winning 7 of his past 8 decisions.

He is one victory away from matching his career high in wins.

The Marlins counter with Edward Carbrera.

Cabrera rolls in 5-6 with a 4.74 ERA and has struggled his last 3 starts going 0-2 with a no decision as the Marlins have lost all 3.

He gave up 5 runs in 4 innings at Seattle in a 9-3 loss, lost 5-2 at St.Louis and 4-1 at Tampa.

The Phillies trail the Marlins by a half game in the congested N.L. wild card standings, so this makes this 4-game series huge.

And game one is even bigger.

With the Phillies more consistent behind Walker this year, all systems go for the boys from the city of brotherly love.

Philadelphia takes game one tonight.

My Two Cents - Brandon Lang

Let's close the month with a winner.

Lang always goes with the hotter pitcher. Does he think pitchers just keep staying hot? Lang is the COOLER! Any player or team even on a double digit winning streak goes to shit when he backs them. The guy is a 45% handicapper with maybe the worst money management skills of all time.

Lang likes starting pitchers who are hot, you are right about that.

Perhaps all of the teams ought to monitor this thread to see who he is picking on a given day or night, and if the team is superstitious

enough to believe that his pick is a jinx pay him to rescind the pick especially if it is an important game.

The Lock of a lifetime is that no matter how much or should I say so how little they pay him, it will be many thousands in excess

of what he currently gets paid in a given year, not that that is saying much!! lol

LANG'S PICK: PHILLIES -115

Well, to put it bluntly, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong in the month of July.
After hitting 4 straight 150 dime releases, I lost my last 2.
After hitting 3 straight 80 dime releases I lose #4 in a row on Sunday with Arizona.
I've had bad runs before and I will have bad runs again.
The common denominator is I always turn it around. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
When you are running cold, as I am right now, it's hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel.
However, I have been doing this for over 37 years, since 1987 and you can't stay in this business as long as I have if you don't have the ability to turn it around.
Well, I do and this thing will turn around and it will happen right before your very eyes. It does every single time.
Time to close this month with a winner. Simple as that.
LFG

What a joke!
He has the ability to stay in this business because he's never held accountable for all the losing he does. And let's not forget the never ending bankroll of fake dimes that keep him going year after year.

So 37 years and he still has to caddy and drive for Uber Eats at age 60 to make ends meet. What a success story, LOL.

Let's just say that if Lang's weenie grew at the same rate as the lies he tells and knew how to utilize it properly, he would

have tons of women (and for that matter even men lol) lining to receive it either free of charge or even pay for it!!

Pinocchio would be proud of this TURD!!

So Lang winds up losing another month, this time it's July for 656 Dimes, $6,560.
But in true scammer fashion he will never mention this. Instead he will talk up that he won the last game in July, like that fucking means anything, and then he will talk about how there is money to be made in August. Just like he talked up the beginning of July and said the exact same thing.
And so the scam continues...
