Look at Phil "Steal". He didn't want anyone at ESPN to know he was selling picks but when you lose week after week after week even they say enough is enough at some point. Do you see Phil on ESPN anymore? Nope! He's basically done except for selling his yearly magazine.
Lang is on his last leg hawking picks on newstalk and rock stations in cities like Bakersfield, CA and Tuscon, AZ and doing podcasts where the hosts have less than 1,000 Twitter followers.
As a person who knows Phil Steele/Steal and his modus operandi as well as anyone, posting commentary and documenting
his record for over 20 years in various forums, The big difference between him and Lang can be summarized this way:
In short, Steele is separately a more sophisticated version of Lang in the art of lying and deception.
In short, the difference is that Lang's lies are mostly blatant lies by commission and are very obvious to anyone who has
followed him for some time like Pimpy.
On the other hand, Steele's lies and his deceptions with his record keeping most of the time are lies of omission,
ie using only favorable time frames sometimes going back sometimes years to make it sound like he is winning in whatever
one of his zillion types of different picks he is promoting on a given day, which of late have been losing.
I could go on forever about Steele, but the bottom line in that he/NC lost around a documented $19,000 with their Late
Phone Picks when played according to rating when the cost of service is considered but it goes without saying if you
call their comp. line everyday as I do or check theier website, one gets the feeling that they are doing just fine!!
As you so righfully say though re: Lang, eventually what goes around comes around and even people who are clever
and experienced in the art of not telling it as it is as in the case of Phil Steele are exposed for what and what they are!!
