KC,
What form of payment do you find easiest to fund your Olympic account?

Thanks!

Way to come into a thread almost three weeks later and throw in your useless two cents, Mr. "I spent $27 for somebody else's posting handle."

VERY easy to tell who that was just by reading the first post. Only one person dumb enough to spend real money on some other guy's posting handle on a website.

Good read for Power Rankings on Arenafootball.com:

Boudreaux’ Preseason Power Poll Rankings <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
(2007 records in parenthesis)<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
17- <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on">Cleveland</st1:City> Gladiators (2-14) – Moved from <st1:City w:st="on">Las Vegas</st1:City> to <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Cleveland</st1:place></st1:City> in off-season and will have a brand-new look in ’08...Will be much better this season but doesn’t have the depth of the top teams.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
16- Columbus Destroyers (7-9) – A year removed from the ArenaBowl but will take a step back in ’08...Only nine players return from the National Conference championship team from last year...Looks like a rebuilding season for head coach <st1:personName w:st="on">Doug Kay</st1:personName> and the Destroyers.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
15- Arizona Rattlers (4-12) – New coach, new quarterback, new management...The Rattlers are hoping to turn things around in ’08 but face a tough schedule in the Western Division with the likes of San Jose, Los Angeles and Utah and non-conference battles with Georgia, Orlando and Dallas..<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
14- New Orleans VooDoo (5-11)– Losing free agent WR Derrick Lewis (torn ACL) in training camp is a huge blow for the VooDoo...Without a go-to receiver on offense and their top pass rusher on defense (traded Henry Taylor to New York), New Orleans doesn’t have the horses to cash their ticket in this race.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
13- <st1:City w:st="on">Grand Rapids</st1:City> Rampage (4-12) – New head coach Steve Thonn brings an offensive mind to <st1:place w:st="on">Western Michigan</st1:place> but the Rampage lacks “big name” talent with the exception of DB Ahmad Hawkins...Will be better in ’08 but the key to the season will be how an inconsistent QB Adrian McPherson adapts to Thonn’s timing-based offense.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
12- New York Dragons (5-11) – If QB Aaron Garcia can stay healthy the Dragons have a chance...New York must do a better job of protecting the passer (allowed 26 sacks last season) or it could be another long season on Long Island.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
11- Utah Blaze (8-8) – Lost top WR Siaha Burley to Arizona but added a slew of top defenders in free agency, including pass rushers Dwayne Missouri and E.J Burt, and DB Reggie Doster...QB Joe Germaine will have to spread the ball around to a number of receivers and the secondary will have to make plays for Utah to compete with San Jose and Los Angeles in the West. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
10- <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Colorado</st1:place></st1:State> Crush (8-8) – Losing WR Damian Harrell to free agency hurts... Veteran QB John Dutton will have to step up his game along with young receivers Ben Nelson, Brad Pyatt and Willie Quinnie if Colorado wants to make any noise in the Central...If Dutton continues to turn the ball over (tied for AFL lead with 17 INTs in ’07) it could be a disappointing season in the Rockies.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
9- Orlando Predators (8-8) – Despite losing WR Jimmy Fryzel (season-ending injury) and DL Greg White (signed with Tampa Bay Buccaneers), the Predators will be in the mix again in ’08...Jay Gruden is too good of a coach to let his team slip...QB Shane Stafford didn’t play up to expectations last year but should benefit from a full season with WR T.T. Toliver. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
8- Los Angeles Avengers (9-7) – My pick for surprise team in ’08...Third-year QB Sonny Cumbie is a star in the making in head coach Ed Hodgkiss’ offensive system...The defensive line of Jason Stewart, Ken Jones and Josh Jefferies gives the Avengers one of the top pass rushing units in the League. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
7- Kansas City Brigade (10-6) – Could be another sleeper team in ‘08....Coming off a solid 10-6 season a year ago and added quality players (DB Jerald Brown, WR Mike Horacek, DL Mike Sutton) on both sides of the ball...The key to the season will be the play of veteran QB John Fitzgerald, who was out of the AFL last season coaching in af2...If Fitzgerald can manage the game and play consistently, the Brigade will surprise some people this year.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
6- <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placeName w:st="on">Tampa</st1:placeName> <st1:placeType w:st="on">Bay</st1:placeType></st1:place> Storm (9-7) – Caught fire at the end of last season and returns all the key contributors on both sides of the ball...There are high expectations for second-year QB Brett Dietz, who will be surrounded by veteran receivers Terrill Shaw, Lawrence Samuels and David Saunders...<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
5- Georgia Force (14-2) – Will need to replace 67 touchdowns with the loss of receivers Chris Jackson and Derek Lee to free agency...Biggest loss could be offensive coordinator Steve Thonn (now head coach in Grand Rapids) but head coach Doug Plank is confident in WRs Troy Bergeron, Brent Holmes, Carl Morris and Jamin Elliot, along with new coordinator Jim Kubiak.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
4- Philadelphia Soul (8-8) – The addition of free agent WR Chris Jackson gives the Soul the big-play threat they’ve been lacking...With QB Tony Graziani and Jackson, expectations are high in the city of Brotherly Love...The quarterback and receivers garner most of the headlines, but the key to Philadelphia’s success will be the likes of defensive linemen Gabe Nyenhuis and Bryan Save and the rest of the Soul’s defense. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
3- Chicago Rush (12-4) – The Rush lost their top two offensive players during the off-season (QB Matt D’Orazio and WR Bobby Sippio) but didn’t miss a beat with the addition of free agents QB Sherdrick Bonner and WR Damian Harrell...The defense has been the heart and soul of the club for the last few seasons and should be among the League’s top units again this season.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
2- Dallas Desperados (15-1) – Will come out with a chip on their shoulder after dominating the regular season the last two years (28-4 combined record) only to fall in the playoffs in back-to-back seasons...On offense, veteran QB Clint Dolezel returns the nucleus of his receiving corps, and an overachieving defense got even better with the addition of free agent DB DaShane Dennis.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
1- San Jose SaberCats (13-3) – The SaberCats are the champs and will remain so until someone knocks them off...Has won three of the last six championships and will be in the mix every year as long as QB Mark Grieb, WR James Roe and DBs Clevan Thomas and Omarr Smith are on the roster...The receiving corps is getting a little older but Grieb is the most accurate passer to ever play the indoor game.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Looking into the crystal ball...<o:p></o:p>

Be careful with Nathan Bordeaux's stuff. He's also a tout (or at least was last year) and sometimes his articles show it on the league website.

Top 10 Power ratings seems pretty accurate from my stand point. Tout or not to be on the main home page of Arenafootball, he knows his AFL. I would re-jig a few of the teams from my view point but overall looks like a good starting point for a Power ranking IMHO. I don't think anyone doesn't belong in the top 10 although I might question why Georgia, KC (cause of the question mark with Fitzerald) and Colorado are in top 10. IMO I think Jackson is the best WR the AFL has seen and Harrell is top 3 in the league. Will be interesting to see how effective the Force's offense will really be without both Jackson and Lee. I don't think they belong in the top #5 of the power rating. Unless Dutton has a stellar season, it will be a losing one for the Crush. Does Arenafan have power ratings yet?

Oh, I'm not saying that Bordeaux doesn't know what he's talking about... I've spoken to him before, and he really DOES know what he's talking about. But at times, his opinions are skewed by his gamblers opinion. There are times that you want a gambler's opinion... Others you don't... and when you're looking for real information, you don't want to speak to a gambler, especially when you're looking at the league's site.

I think it's a pretty fair set of rankings. I think it's hilarious that the team I was stuck watching in the ArenaBowl is now ranked 2nd to last in the league by Bordeaux's rankings.... ironically, which is right where I started them in 2007....

ArenaFan's power poll is merely a compilation of what the users of the site think, meaning it's not worth anything, especially when you get these people who input power rankings in Week 1, and then never touch them again.

Can't discredit your site that much Guru. If it is a collection of a bunch of real fans, that is probably more potent than one "gambler". Would be interesting to get all of your peoples assessment. Let me know once you guys post it up, would be an interesting read. :toast:

If indeed this is the lines Vegas has released, there is one game where I have the spread 6 points different and indeed I will lay large lumber against it. There is another one that is 3 points off and is worth a smaller play. The rest are 0-2 points different than my initial lines I created. As per Scott and Guru's points, I will not list the teams that I believe are off. I will wait until Greek, Pinnacle or Cris posts their lines and will hammer away if the value is there.

Ah, gotta love my Preds... 7-10 ATS and 5-12 for the under (funny how they include the ATS loss but not the under recorded in their playoff game).

I'll bet if you looked at the last 10 years of the Predators, you'll find that they've played in the neighborhood of 60-65% unders. You just can't stick a low enough number on this team at times.

Also an interesting correlation between how good you are and how good you were ATS. Short of Dallas, who had obscene numbers to cover towards the end of last season, everybody else was pretty close between their SU and ATS record, most alarmingly San Jose ringing in at 14-4-1.

Georgia also closed out the season on an absolutely insane run ATS...

Wonder how they will fair without Jackson and Lee. Troy Bergeron is now the main dude but he kind of reminds me of the Wes Welker type that gets open looks cause of Moss' double coverage. Wonder how he will do as "the man". :think2:

So if you look at the big wide outs that were a force for Georgia, Jackson and Lee combined for 15 receptions and 7 TD's against Dallas. They are both no longer with the team and the young guys will have to step up. Dallas has their entire core team in tact and looking to open up the season strong. Tony Bergeron had a stellar season for the Force but he had Chris Jackson getting all of the attention and life will be different without Jackson on the Force.

Official Play:

Dallas -1.5 Over Georgia ($550 to win $500)

SEASON TOTAL $0
