Trace Adams Monday Play with Analysis

For Monday in the NFL, 1500♦ Raise the Bar Winner #4 in a Row is the San Diego Chargers at home against the Denver Broncos. At 7:00 am eastern as I release this selection, the Chargers are the slight 1-point favorite over the Broncos.

Well, Denver makes their second Monday night appearance in six weeks, as the Broncos take it on the road to face the Chargers in a big division clash in the AFC West. Denver did open their division games with a rout of Oakland, but that game did come at home. On the road this season, the Broncos are 0-2 both straight up and against the spread. The first road loss was in Atlanta on a Monday night when Peyton Manning's comeback bid ended in a 27-21 setback. The second road loss came last week in New England when the Broncs comeback bid ended on a McGahee fumble in the closing minutes of a 31-21 setback.

You see a trend here? I sure do. I don't think Denver can put the finishing touches just yet on a signature road win, and San Diego has not usually been a willing accomplice to Denver, going 4-1 against the spread the past 5 series meetings.

The Chargers are off a road loss of their own to Drew Brees in New Orleans, but they are 2-0 within the AFC West, winning and covering against both Oakland and Kansas City. The Chargers will always be a bit "iffy" when it comes to covering as a favorite under Norv Turner, but thus far they are 2 for 3 in that role this season.

I will take my chances tonight, and make Peyton and his Broncos show they can beat me on the road.

Play San Diego.

Wow, what a comeback. Down 24-0 at the half.

If this doesn't get Norv Turner fired, nothing will.

Trace Adams Tuesday Play with Analysis

For Tuesday night in baseball, 500♦ ALCS Game 3 Lock is the underdog New York Yankees against the Detroit Tigers. Your listed pitchers are Hughes and Verlander. Note: Both listed pitchers must start or NO action on the release. At 7:00 am eastern, the Yankees are listed as the +165 underdog.

That's right, I am backing the Yankees plus money in tonight's ALCS!

Well aware of the fact Robinson Cano, Alex Rodriguez, Nick Swisher and Curtis Granderson are all mired in deep funks, and tonight's assignment against Justin Verlander is a tall order for this slumping lineup, but aren't the Yankees bats due for some hits?

Isn't Verlander due for a less than spectacular start?

Didn't the Yankees hit Verlander hard in 2 of his 3 starts this year against New York this season?

Didn't the Yanks win the regular season series 6-4 over the Tigers?

Despite New York's recent slide, the good news is they are now out of New York where the less than capacity home crowd was dogging them every chance they got.

The change of scenery, and the fact the bats are long overdue for some hits leads me to believe that New York can actually scratch out a win in tonight's contest.

Underdog play on the Yankees this evening,

Note: Both listed pitchers must start, or NO action on the release.

The True fade is Tigers ML and that is what we are playing here.

If the Price is too juicy and you want to set up your own rule then play the Tigers -1, -133 or Tigers RL, +120. Just know that if you play the -1 or RL that is not really fading Adams play.

Trace Adams Wednesday Play with Analysis

For Wednesday afternoon, 500♦ release on the visiting San Francisco Giants against the St. Louis Cardinals. Your listed pitchers are Cain and Lohse, and both listed pitchers must start, or NO action on the release. As of 8:00 am eastern when I release this selection, the Giants are the +110 underdog.

It is about time Matt Cain comes through and pitches a solid postseason game this October. Cain is 1-1 this postseason, but he has only worked 10.2 innings while allowing 11 hits and 6 runs to score. He has not been his usual dominant self, but I think today will be the day he steps up and fires blanks as the St. Louis attack.

The Giants have not lost yet on the road this postseason, sweeping all 3 games played in Cincinnati in the league series, pushing their road record this year to 49-35. Included is 2 wins in 3 games played back in early August against the Redbirds at Busch Stadium.

St. Louis will start 16-game winner Kyle Lohse who is 1-0 in his pair of playoff starts this October, including the Cards Wild Card win over Atlanta back on the 5th. The Cardinals starters have gone 3 straight games without pitching past the 5th inning, so we shall see if Lohse is able to end that ominous streak.

Of course all eyes on Cain and how he will retaliate for Holliday's vicious slide into Scutaro the other night, but my eyes will be on the Giants as they take their 4th in a row on the road this postseason.

Take San Francisco.

Note: Both listed pitchers must start, or NO action on the release.
