Dom Chambers Monday Action

My 30 Dime winner is on the Tampa Bay Rays to beat the Seattle Mariners. Checking the sports books the Rays are -140 favorites.

ANALYSIS

The Tampa Bay Rays are on a tear right now. The Rays have won their last six games and eight of their last 10 games. Maybe it‘s a coincidence, but the Rays have not lost since Evan Longoria has returned to the lineup. He adds and offensive punch to the Rays.

For the Rays, Alex Cobb gets the start. Overall, he is 6-8 with a 4.32 ERA. But in his lat three starts, he is 2-1 with a 2.14 ERA. In his last two games, he has allowed only two earned runs. He is getting in a groove the same time his team is.

For the Mariners, Blake Beavan starts, he is 9-8 with a 5.12 ERA. In his last start, he allowed four runs in six innings against the Orioles.

The Mariners have stumbled a bit, losing five of their last seven games.

The Rays are streaking right now, have the better pitcher and are in groove.

Take the Rays.

Dom's thoughts on last nights loss...

The Braves started slowly and tried to rally late, but fell short. That cost me a 50 Dime winner.

It makes me more determined to get back to winning.

He's lost 4 in a row and 8 out of the last 9 but he's still DETERMINED! :):)

Pimp- I saw you were doing the fade Redd and another guy threads (and Chambers) a few months back, but they just weren't as profitable as Lang. Is there anyone else from the Demarco/Budin regime that might be worth us looking into?

Dom Chambers Tuesday Action

My 40 Dime play is on the Detroit Tigers on run line to beat the Minnesota Twins. Checking the sports books the Tigers are +100 on the run line.

ANALYSIS

This is a case of a good team against a bad team. And throw on top of that the good team has a good pitcher going. It’s a combination you can’t pass up.

The Detroit Tigers are fighting for the top of the A.L. Central, while the Twins are floundering this season.

Doug Fister starts for the Tigers. Overall, his numbers are all right, going 6-7 with a 3.48 ERA. But he has turned it up lately. Since the All-Star Break, he is 4-1 with a 1.79 ERA and a WHIP of 0.86. In his last three starts, he is 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA and a WHIP of 0.94.

And with the lineup that the Tigers have, it’s just too much for opponents to try and keep them off the scoreboard.

For the Twins, Brian Duensing starts. Overall, he is 2-7 with a 4.46 Era, but in his last three starts, he is 1-1 with a 3.32 ERA and his WHIP is 1.42.

He is going to give up some runs.

The Twins opened the series with a win, but I look for a bounce-back effort from the Tigers. With Fister going, the Twins’ offense will be kept at bay.

Doug Fister has a 1-6 record and 4.36 ERA versus Minnesota. He has allowed 10 runs in 10 innings while losing both of his starts this season against the Twins. Fister is 0-2 with a 4.63 ERA at Target Field.

How did Dom leave that out of his analysis?
