I get that my friend. I guess the point I'm really making is you're choosing to fight a fight I would choose to walk away from.

An old proverb from somebody somewhere; "choose your fights wisely"

I'm not fighting a fight at all here Willie. But I have no problem calling out stupid arguments from other posters (the other clueless wonder will also chime in on this thread as soon as he wakes up). I've said all along the guy has zero credibility with me since any donations he made or actions he has taken were after he got paid his new contract after his rookie one expired. It also seems like most of his stance was spoonfed to him by his girlfriend (pussy does that to some guys). He now has a boatload of money that he can use to further whatever the hell his cause is. If he doesn't use it for his personal gain, I will at least give him credit for that.

Does that sound like a fight I'm making on his behalf to you?

give 'em hell, Mike!

[h=1]Francesa: Kaepernick Sold Out, Really Only Wanted Money[/h]
"They gave him his money. What they got is they got his silence," said Francesa. "He won't point any fingers at the NFL publicly. For that, I guarantee Kaepernick got what he wanted, which is money...which is what he has wanted every step of the way. Money. He settled for money. He can't cite the NFL now. He got paid off. If this was about proving a point, they wouldn't have been able to buy his silence. They bought his silence. The NFL loses, but Kaepernick sold out because he can't even cite them, because he took the money. So they both lost. He beat them fair and square...he beat them for a bunch of money. He signed a confidential agreement and buried all the information for the cash. It goes back to him being ticked off that he only made $39.6 million of his $126 million contract, which I believe originally $54 million was supposed to be guaranteed. Kaepernick basically sold out because he can't talk about it anymore."

I’ve yet to say much. I will though. You can see who this all really bothers though. All it takes is a person of color to start standing up for their rights and that’s all it takes for white males to be upset and angry. I don’t know why though. There’s no real reason to be afraid. Haven’t read anything in here yet btw

So you're a racist if you don't condone Kaepernick's behavior? Classic

Every person has a right to oppose his actions.

Ha!

You say tomato, I say tomaaato. It's called being reasonable my friend and calling it like it is (not everything has to be divisive).

Kaepernick played the NFL like a violin and made a national name for himself, thanks in large part to a lot of people that just don't know how to handle a troll (same impact Vittard had on them). I suspect it did wonders to help his court case. Bottom line is he won. Does he deserve it? My opinion is "no". Others will say "yes". I hope he does something worthy with the money.

Mob can speak for himself and it looks like he has.

Again, what injustices is he protesting about?

Bravo, he sold out. Well done.
I don't get it. Kaep sued the league and won. How does he sell out here? He (and Reid) were awarded handsomely.

Nobody really knows what they were awarded, that would be interesting and more telling

The one reporter citing an unnamed source means nothing to me to begin with, especially since that story doesn't have legs

Nuisance settlements can be substantive I suppose, it's all a matter of perspective. But, if he had a great case which he was going to win, don't you think he would have served his cause better to expose the racism and social injustice? Collect the money and NOT be silenced?

The NFL didn't want any more bad publicity, CK badly needed the money since he lost his job and his life of opulent luxury was threatened, so they settled for something

They settled out of court, but I understand what you meant 3peet. And no, there is no sell out here because his protest never had anything to do with the NFL. The NFL case dealt with collusion to my knowledge (not anything race related...although I'm sure people would like to characterize it that way). He was deemed a trouble maker and the NFL just wanted him out of their hair. Unfortunately, he never did a good job of articulating his protest, but I think most people would agree that the "pig" socks and the rest of his disjointed comments had to do with police violence towards minorities and the like. The collusion case was well after his protest and had nothing to do with his protest. Whether he let the case run it's course in court or settled has nothing to do with selling out. And as I mentioned in my previous post, if the thought process was that it was perhaps 50/50, he did the right thing in not gambling (I realize that's hard for the gamblers here to understand....personally I have always hedged things like future wagers when I was in an advantageous situation...people do it with stocks all the time). I'm pretty well convinced he will be using some of those funds for some sort of charity related to social causes. It just would have been more interesting to know the exact amount to see what he kept for himself vs how committed he was to a cause. He'll give at least a million to something toward social causes over the next 6 months.

Lol jesus, guess Kaepernick printing money didn't clear up your issues...I told you this in the other thread but you really need some help. To be this combative and angry all the time just isn't healthy.

How much anger could you really have for me because we got into an online spat or for any of the other 30 posters you feud with? I think the problem is probably coming from within. It's just become sad at this point, another GB.

Good luck, seriously...

I've read a few opinions from sports writers who believe the NFL knew they were busted for "collusion" long before Kaep sued them. They were never gonna go to trial. NFL knew they were in a lose / lose situation as it was clear they were all in on the blackball. And they held out as long as they could. However the settlement was already prepared.

One other thing Bodyforlife. It's amazing how some people never understood Kaep's protest and him suing the league were 2 separate things.

If this is at all true, then Kap's lawyer is a fucking moron.

Think about it. It's probably not true. Or he woudn't have settled.

A guy that has the league by the balls and is a slam dunk to win a case does not settle. Common sense can figure that one out.
