Just thinking about now---how a 33 year old Jimmy Butler is leading his team to another Finals is just hilarious to me....

Not even like the east is watered down. The Bucks or Cs would have been favorites in the Finals over Denver.

Just insane. Good for him. Many laughed at him(myself included) when he went to Miami. Thinking I guess he just wants to be the top dog on a team that will at max make 2nd round of play-offs his entire time there..

Everyone in the East is in limbo right now......New CBA is going to make it harder to spend big and retain players so all of these teams have big decisions to make. Bucks, Celts, Philly.

We'll see....The new CBA is going to make it tough to pay both Middleton and Lopez if those guys want 1 final big payday. There is a 2nd luxury tax apron that teams really don't want to hit.

I don't think C's fire Mazzula either really, would be 4th coach in 4 years now, was 1st year, Tatum/Brog died at the end, just save him as scapegoat for next year if/when that goes bad. Obviously if they got swept out, that's a little harder to swing but game 7 to a team going to the finals, you can say shit happens.

More concerning is Boston’s regression defensively

Still highly ranked but a full 8 points in defensive rating worse is pretty significant drop off

Tatum and Smart were both much worse on that end

Tatum gets a little bit of a pass because of the ankle, but he still needs to work on his game out of the post. He has gotten good at using high pick and roll but he abuses that action too much. He needs to take his game to the block . That’s the next step if they can’t make too many personnel changes

Amazing run you rarely or ever see in the NBA. This team is a legit 8 seed. They didn't have some super star return. This is a roster of an 8 seed and they just pulled off this run. Remarkable.
