Love what I seeing from this Memphis squad right now.

Winners of 3 of their last 5 SU, and 4 out of 5 ATS, they are in a great spot to get the win and cover against a team they match up really well with.

Not only did they roll into Portland back on January 10th as a 1-1/2 point underdog and got the 109-105 SU win.

Now back at home in a near pickem game, I love them to take care of business and make it 5 out of 6 ATS.

As for the Blazers, yes they have been playing well on this road trip as evidenced by their 3 out of 4 SU run with the only loss being an OT effort at Chicago losing by 4 as a 3 1/2 point dog.$ They took care of the Nets by 9, the Raptors by 14 and the T'wolves by 19.

However, if the Blazers are coming off a SU win of more than 10 points, they are 0-4 ATS last 4 games after, and it should also be pointed out this is the 5th game in 7 days for Portland - all on the road.

You throw that in with the fact the Grizzlies are off a win of more than 10 points and their last 7 games after they are 7-0 ATS.

Halftime is about adjustments in any sport. It's about motivation. It's about will power. It's about desire. It's about execution.

To allow a road team to put up 41 points on you in the 3rd quarter when you held them to that exact amount in the first 2 quarters falls squarely on Lionel Hollins and his players.

Portland came out in the 3rd quarter and punched Memphis in the mouth and the Grizzlies just sat there like Trevor Berbick to Mike Tyson.

Again, it's one of the frustrating things about rolling with the NBA. You just never know when these guys are going to pull a tank job and you just have to hope it's not on a night when you have a play on them.

I have spent so much time around these guys in Vegas in the off season partying with them, and it has given me a real insider view in to how they think at certain times during the season.

Don't get me wrong, it still won't stop me from releasing the NBA because you can find value, but sometimes the end result based on what I have witnessed has me shaking my head in frustration.

Oh well, time to make it 3 out of 4 winning days and keep this winning streak going. Nothing to it but to do it.

5 DIME - VALPARAISO CRUSADERS

Coming back with Valpo tonight.

This team has been pretty good to me this year and personally, they are undervalued tonight.

Now some will focus on a 5-5 SU run the last 10, but I will look at the 7-3 run ATS and in those 10 games.$ Valpo has been competitive in 9 of those 10 with the only blowout loss in bracket-buster against Bowling Green.

They are 7-3 ATS at home for the year, split with Detroit losing by 10 at Detroit, and won by 4 at home, and overall they have won 9 of their last 13 conference games SU.

As for Detroit, they too are 5-5 SU their last 10 but a dismal 3-6 ATS in their lined games and all things considered, Valpo at home is the value play.

I've always maintained this Detroit bunch plays down to their competition as evidenced by their 9-21 ATS run last 30 facing a team with a losing SU record, and at 5-8 SU on the road this year - bad spot for Detroit.

You throw in Valpo's 9-3 SU at home, 10-2 ATS run last 12 in Horizon League play and a stellar 8-1-1 ATS run last 10 facing a team with a winning SU record and the home team is flat out the play.

Valparaiso advances with the home win tonight.

This is a great money making day. The Wedneday college basketball card. Have to take advantage of it. Simple as that.

It's so important to build the bankroll on days when the opportunity for mistakes by Vegas is plentiful.

Those mistakes usually happen on Wednesday and Saturday. I have found one for today.

Now time to go make some money tonight.


30 DIME - TEXAS A&M AGGIES

Talk about a spot for revenge. Tonight at the Reed Arena watch the Aggies crush an Oklahoma State team that is primed for a letdown after defeating Kansas over the weekend. ( That win over the Jayhawks came at home, on the road it has been a different story for Okie State, as State is just 2-6 ATS on the road their last 8 games.

Texas A&M lost 76-69 at Stillwater on January 27th. In that game Travis Ford's team hit a dozen 3-pointers in the win, as they shot almost 60% for the game. They do that again at College Station, and I will tip my hat and take my loss like a man. For my money, that won't happen on the road, and on senior night.

A&M is 14-1 SU at home; the only loss coming against then No. 1 Kansas, a game the Aggies collapsed late and should have really won in retrospect. They've covered 8 straight in their gym, blowing out Texas on Saturday by 16 points - the same Texas team that beat Oklahoma State in the Cowboys' last road game in Austin by 10.

I will lay the points tonight, and watch as the Aggies get their in-season revenge in convincing fashion as they beef up their tournament resume.
