The Lakers, looking to avoid their first four-game skid since April of 2007, has won 7 in a row at home versus Toronto. This is LA’s only home game in a seven games in 12 days stretch.

Kobe Bryant, who has averaged 33.3 points during LA’s current losing streak, has averaged 43.4 points in Toronto’s last five visits to the Staples Center.

The Raptors have lost five of six straight-up and seven in a row versus the oddsmakers heading into their battle with the Lakers.

Tuesday Selection Confirmed - 5 Dimes on the Lakers, the Writeup

NOTE: Winning in March.

Nothing beats winning in March, and considering I am looking for winning week # 3 in a row, I would say my opinion is right where it needs to be 9 days into this month.

Have a great feel for the conference tourney's right now and the product I am churning out speaks for itself. Simple as that.

Feel great about 5 out of 6 winning days. 7 of the last 10 winning days. 2 straight winning weeks.

Looking for more tonight. I want 6 of 7 winning days, and 8 of the last 11, and I want 3 straight winning weeks before the NCAA tourney gets here next week.

The journey for all that begins today. The first step to a winning week is to win the first day out just like I have done the past 2 Tuesdays.

So without any further hesitation, let's get the winning Wedensday and start the pursuit of winning week # 3 in a row.


5 DIME - LOS ANGELES LAKERS

I just don't see this team losing 4 in a row for the first time since April of 2007.

Off a mini 3 game road trip which saw them lose 3 in a row for the first time in over 2 years, the Lakers return home to meet the Raptors.

It all started with an OT loss to the Heat as a 5-point road chalk followed by a complete no show the next night in Charlotte 98-83 as a 3 1/2 point favorite. Then the loss on Sunday to the Magic did deliver a miracle cover push courtesy of Kobe with a pair of late 3's and a timely missed free throw by Vince Carter.

So now they find themselves in the midst of this 3 game losing streak facing a team in Toronto that is just 12-17-1 ATS on the road this year.

I truly feel this could be the lamb being led to the slaughter tonight in Hollywood.

For Toronto, even with Bosh back they flat out can't cover a number.

Over their last 10 games they are just 2-8 ATS highlighted by 7 straight non covers. I'm talking an 0-7 ATS run here folks.

The bottom line is when you start losing to the Sixers by double digits at home like the Raptors did last game out 114-101 as a 5 1/2 point favorite, I don't like your chances in LA tonight where Kobe has averaged 43 points in your last five visits to the Staples Center.

The final few nails in the coffin tonight are the fact Toronto is just 6-21 ATS following a double digit home loss and 16-38-1 ATS facing a team with a winning home record.

Dude, that was from Justin TV. Never had a problem with them before but after downloading Microsoft Internet Essentials I found I had one trojan virus as well. If you want to blame me for the virus thats fair. I did post the link to Justin TV. If you want to make me out to be an evil person thats ok, its part of the pure meanness that the Fader thread has turned into. Up to yesterday, I was fading Lang. But now that DeMarco is doing the picks, I will just sit aside for now and see what happens. Its hard to get excited about 5 dime picks and betting $50 a game. Is it worth the bother?

Wednesday Selection, 5 Dime on the Oklahoma State Cowboys

Brandon Lang Wednesday's Selection .... NOTE:
Flat out wrong side.

Misjudged the Lakers big time last night. They were just flat. Flat as a pancake from Waffle House.

Off the 3 game east coast road trip, heartbreaking loss to Orlando Sunday, 3,000 mile plan ride back to Los Angeles, jet lag and off 1 days rest, facing a Raptors team who had failed to cover 7 straight games, still to much for LA to overcome.

The double digit number got me and I am man enough to admit just a pathetic call with the Lakers last night.

However, don't lose sight of the big picture.

5 of 7 winning days.

7 of 11 winning days

40 dime winner CAL two Saturdays ago

30 dime winner Texas A&M last Wednesday

2 straight winning weeks

So despite the efforts of the Lakers last night, still in a great groove, overall my opinion is right there and what is happening right now is what is called a basketball winning streak.

Yes, every once in awhile even when you are on a great winning streak you will throw in the occasional clunker as I did last night but my numbers the last 2 weeks should tell you, show you, my opinion is right where it needs to be.

And seeing as this is the biggest money making month of the year in hoops, I am 100% satisfied with where my basketball opinion is heading into this game today.

All about seizing back the winning momentum tonight, get winning day # 6 of the last 8 and roll into Thursday.

5 DIME - OKLAHOMA STATE

They are just flat out the better team.

At 21-9 and some would say on the NCAA tourney bubble, the Cowboys probably have to win two games in this tourney to punch their ticket to the big dance but most certainly they have to win here.

Over their last 7 games they are 5-2 SU and ATS, with the two losses on the road at A&M and Texas.

This team is capable of big things as evidenced by their 85-77 home win over Kansas and a 7 point home win over Baylor.

In the two meetings this year Oklahoma State led at the half at Oklahoma eventually squandering a 2nd half lead and then losing by 5 in OT.

However, a little less than a month ago at home they tattooed this Sooner bunch to the tune of 97-76 in a game that wasn't even that close. As you can see, the Sooners are ready to call it a year as evidenced by their play to end the year losing their last 8, and 10 of their last 12.

To make matters worse for this ballclub who has obviously quit, 9 of those 12 losses have been by 7 points or more with 7 by double digits.

This tourney game today is about one team knowing they need to win to get to March madness and another team that knows they are going nowhere playing a team they know they can't beat.

Where is Blake Griffin when you need him?

Oklahoma State rolls to another double diigit win over the Sooners tonight.

You can bet with Lang or bet against him. I prefer to bet against him or fade him, because a lot of his bets seem "square," like that Lakers pick last night and his Okie State bet today. I wish it was for more than five dimes. You should be consistent in your betting and use good money management. I follow his dime amounts but bet the opposite side. It is frustrating this year as Lang is actually ahead on the year without his 530 dime loss on the super bowl. Al DeMarco may be doing his picks for him now, but I plan to stay the course, anything can happen. One sports handicapping site has 10 cappers on Okie State and none on the Sooners! If you are betting with the Langster, this should give you some comfort. Al DeMarco said:
