Early look.
This is in the form of a few suggestions which I am ging to email Phil Steele:
1) Assuming that Phil Steele is not the one who is in charge of deciding the Late Phones, fire the entire staff of handicappers
and get some new folks in.
I mean if losing 14 out of 19 weeks this seasons and a total of four CONSECUTIVE losing ones since I started documenting(and God knows
how many of losing seasons before that(plenty for sure), isn't a clear sign that this crew sucks and is incompetent, then what is!!!
2) On the other hand, if Phil Steele is making the picks and/or has a big say in them, then he should step down and get some new blood in there
to try to turn things around.
3) Along the same lines as #2, whatever methodology NC is using(I assume it is all based on the stats, trends and angles that Steele deems to be
important), as I said earlier in the season, that needs to be overhauled, and some kind of systems analyst who is also a big football fan needs
to be brought in to try to fix things.
I mean Steele's 100-110 hr. admitted work weeks are a waste of time if at best they produce 50% results.
4) Bring some creativity and innovations to the comp. line in your promoting your upcoming weeks for the week.
I mean really, the same boring and unproductive promotions all tied to discounts to PowerSweep, year after year since the dinosaur days
when NC started back in 1982 and the same bogus discounts which are based on absurd retail prices, don't work except perhaps with foolks, and very stupid,
gullible and naïve people.
5) Quit the lies by omission, half truth, spin, using favorable time frames only, talking/bragging about ONLY the selective services out of the zillion you
have which have won and the overall deception, which defines Phil Steele and NC presently.
Whether you want to admit it or not, you have a terrible image at the moment, and that is a big reason you revenues have plummeted in recent years.
6) Along the same lines, show some compassion and empathy for clients who lost when you have a bad day or week, both of which were regular
occurrences this season.
At the present time, all Todd is quickly dismiss your losing days, saying as little as possible, and then its right on to the next upcoming promotion
with nothing offered in return for those who lost except of course your Monday night insulting guarantee which offers no money back
but only store credit.
I could go on but I think you get the picture here as to what major changes need to be made.
