It is the responsibility of Muslims to retake their religion from the radicals and it isn't happening. What is happening is that the religion is getting more radicalized. It is hard to find one IMAM that will condemn violence. When I go to my Temple, the sermons that we hear are about creating peace, not about committing violent acts in the name of our religion. While a majority of Muslims are not committing violence, I firmly believe that a MAJORITY of Muslims are ok with it.
How exactly? We are quietly reporting suspicious activity at Mosques, extremist type guest speakers etc teaching the young about the dangers of being brainwashed by these lunatics etc
But if you want us to lower our heads or feel ashamed or defend ourselves or our religion or speak out against these violent acts then no we won't do that. We are Americans and won't go out of our way to say, oh, that bombing or beheading was wrong.
Still, the Muslims are out there doing what you want you just have to look and listen. It just doesn't make for interesting news.
Also, we're doing more productive work by being vigilant at Mosques and speaking with our youth. Guys, we love America. I was born here it's my home and we love it despite the fact that almost on daily basis, some Muslim somewhere in America is being told to ''go home raghead'
Irish, Italians, Blacks, Japanese now us. We're going through it but it's ok we can take it. Just like most Muslims aren't violent, most Americans are tolerant and good people. We'll get through this phase too. We always do. 9/11 divided us somewhat but not as much as they'd like. God bless America.
