But if they don't want to take any chances of screwing up, they will arrest you and hold you. Only the DA can "Charge" you
So MAYBE in this case, the DA said let's charge him now for 2nd degree, and we will figure out what else we can charge him with.

the difference is, let's say there was a Crime. the guy gets away. Hours later, days later, weeks later they get a suspect. They will Hold him before charging him.
In this case they grabbed him pretty fast, thus the Charge right away.

I work in Charlottesville about a mile from office is the epicenter of all this. It makes no sense that it's happening here. All these Atl-right people are traveling great distances to get here. They are abusing Charlottesville city council belief of freedom of speech. I have lived and been all over this country and I can say with a lot of confidence that Charlottesville is one of the greatest small cities I've ever stepped foot in.

All this hatred is not a representation of Charlottesville.

It's devastating that this is happening in general. It's like living in an ugly part of history, wondering how is it possible that this could ever happen. But then it's in your backyard, people you know, places you love being violated. All this is hard to take.
