tomorrows plays
djokovic+federer at 1.48, 5 units can't really seriously consider backing tsonga after todays match against stepanek. its true that he can play amazing tennis as we've seen at the aussie but thats been rather far and in between.
should he come out tomorrow and play like he did in january, sure, he does have a shot, but anything less than that and djokovic eat him up at the baseline. tsonga desperately needs to reduce the amount of simple errors and perhaps tone it down a notch when it comes to going for impossible shots. sure it looks good once in a while, but what about other 4-5 times he tried it before? more consistency, less showmanship, and tsonga can remain at the top for a long time. this time, its djokovic who should have no problem here though
roddick+federer at 1.82, 6 units very impressive match against lopez. not only did roddick serve very well, which is to be expected, but controlled most of the rallies too. he'll most definitely do a better job at putting simon under pressure than what andreev did today.
roddick is much more aggressive on the return these days especially indoors, simply because he's got the ability to rely on his serve. that allows him to hold relatively easily and focus on pressuring his opponents' serve. it also puts a mental dent on his opponents, who realize they absolutely must hold serve otherwise their out of the set.
big play on roddick
berdych+federer at 1.82, 3 units this is berdych's time and place to exact revenge on davydenko. the russian has been out of form for a while now, with very mediocre matches against ginepri, safin, etc.
berdych on the other hand thrives on fast surfaces and has an outstanding record here in paris. smart money on berdych here, even as he is the favorite in the match
