How many of those passing yards came in OT periods not available to Elway?

Yea but still more passing yards even though he cant pass, more rushing yards. More TDs. Less turnovers

What does this comparison indicate. Not much. What I get out of this is Elway really struggled early. It also tells us that Tebow is averaging 160 yards passing a game. What we don't see is strength of opponents. I know Tebow hasn't played a tough team yet. Bears were the best team he faced and he won because of a miracle. Vikings are about as good as a good College team. K.C. is awful. Raider's are bad with Palmer at QB. People will say these are excuses, I will argue this is reality.

Jets are a bad defense? Yea I guess Elway faced only great defenses early while Tebow faced horrible defenses. Doesn't seem likely that he faced the toughest defenses ever

Elway faced a 5-11 Eagles team, a 12-4 Raiders team, an 8-8 bears team, a 9-7 Seahawks team, a 6-10 chargers team, a 7-9 colts team......collectively middle of the road defensively.

Great post. I will say that I don't think Tebow needs to be humbled. He is as humble of an athlete as there ever was, and is first class in everything he does. I think his faith is great, and I'm a Christian also. But I think his football is totally separate from his faith. I don't think Tebow believes that God is willing him to win. I don't think any mature Christian believes that God cares about the outcome of football games. But he does care about the way that Christians represent him when they confess Christ to the world. And Tebow is a very good representation of Jesus Christ. I love watching him play football, and I hope that someday I will love Jesus as much as he does.
Great post. I also hope that one day I can overcome my stumbling blocks and be a good representative for Christ like Tebow.

after these past 2 weeks his career as a QB might be numbered.. I've never seen a performance that bad.

Have you ever seen some of Grossman's games ? I must admit He sucked today but they are still very much alive in the playoff picture.

U don't have to be representative and shove ur beliefs in evryones face - no need to be a spectacle and say hey look at me - God is omnipresent - he knows if ur a good person

Tebow played fine last week against the Patriots, running and throwing the ball. Today was a bad day, but I've seen plenty of performances just as bad. Elway has already said he's the QB of 2012. Don't rush to a knee-jerk reaction because of 1 game.

Nobody is good, that's why he preaches the Gospel. If you don't think he should do that, then you shouldn't bother to chime in with your own thoughts either.

Illini, he had a good run but I think its over now.. He is not a legit QB..

The Magic and good luck are gone and when thats gone there really isnt anything left. Any legit team would blow the Broncos out with Tebow under center. I dont want to hear the arguement about the Jets, Sanchez is just as bad and that team is inconsistent and fucked, they dont count.. tebow beat a lot of bad teams that were riddled with injuries and barely beat most of them. When he faces a team with a pulse he will never beat them unless he gets lucky and you cant rely on luck...

Plenty of people agree with you, but I think it's a rush to judgment. Nobody has said he was a good QB yet, but he has shown signs of improvement before the bad game yesterday. He honestly played pretty well against NE. Yesterday he looked ineffective in all areas and made costly bad decisions. But he isn't the first to struggle so I won't write him off. I don't think it's smart to react based on one game.

If I owned a NFL team, I would be figuring out another option for 2012.. Maybe trading up in the draft.... Pittsburgh or Baltimore will go in and crush Denver and rest starters in 2nd half...
