Ok. NOW I believe.

I probably speak for a lot of people who casually make fun of Tebow here. i don't hate the guy. He's just annoying. He's been annoying since he became a household name at Florida. And the reason he was annoying then was not his fault, it was the Tiger Beat media coverage of him. This is why he is polarizing. A lot of people don't want to have any athlete shoved down their throat. And when you couple in the evangelical christian aspect, that can obviously make someone even more polarizing.
Personally, I have no problem with religious people. Tebow being an evangelical/missionary who chops off polynesian foreskins/etc is just low hanging fruit. His release, his passing stats (until last week), similarly low hanging fruit. It's like someone bringing up Herman Cain, and the first thing you say is a joke about him being an adulterer.
But after this shit tonight, this was like water into wine. I am not kidding. i know there have been a million Christian athletes throughout the years, but no one has had Jesus on speeddial like tebow. Sorry, I can't recall Jon Kitna ever coming back in any game that ever mattered, ever. My memory is a little sketchy though. Kurt Warner? Won the first super bowl, lost the next two. He probably chalked it up to God humbling him, or God was giving him a learning experience, something like that. When does Tebow get to be humbled? In the NFL anyway? This shit is ridiculous. Period.

I'm looking into Denver futures, no joke, although I can totally see the Broncs getting shut down in the AFC title game or something, and Tebow saying how grateful he is and he's going to build on the experience or whatever. But what the hell how can you not expect this team to win every game right now? Don't believe the BS - it's not their defense, their kicker, IT'S TEBOW. He elevates everyone around him. When Dungy was on the dp show and said he would absolutely draft Tim Tebow not only in the first round but also EARLY in the first round - because he's a WINNER - I don't think he was just talking up a fellow Christian. Dungy knows people. He knows football players.

Also - anyone see the shot of Elway in the box when Tebow was making that end of the 4th q drive? Elway looked fucking PISSED. What a fucked up situation. How can Tebow go to fucking jacksonville? He's gotta go to a bigger market if he moves. Teams will be clamoring for him if he's on the market IMO. Fuck his release time, his completion percentage... he's a winner, he puts asses in seats, and smart owners know this.

it helps to have a strong defense and matt prater knocking down 50 plus field goals.

Where was that strong defense when Orton was the QB?

Great post. I will say that I don't think Tebow needs to be humbled. He is as humble of an athlete as there ever was, and is first class in everything he does. I think his faith is great, and I'm a Christian also. But I think his football is totally separate from his faith. I don't think Tebow believes that God is willing him to win. I don't think any mature Christian believes that God cares about the outcome of football games. But he does care about the way that Christians represent him when they confess Christ to the world. And Tebow is a very good representation of Jesus Christ. I love watching him play football, and I hope that someday I will love Jesus as much as he does.

Caleb had a better rating than Tebow this week...Tebow had nothing to do with the win this week....

Barber is a bonehead and the Denver defense is stepping up once again...

Let's look ahead to New England vs Denver....

If you watched the game and believe Tebow had nothing to do with the win, then you are just blind. I love ya, man, but that is just silly.

As long as Tebow has a killer D, a long range accurate kicker, and opponents who gift wrap 4th qt presents then Tebow will exist. In the meantime he better develop an all around game for quarters 1-3

Even Elway says he's not a good thrower but when he is given the chance he uses his other talents to win.

You are a good man Illini and I respect your opinons about Tebow...Tebow will have a long career in football, but not as a QB...he is a tough sonofabitch and that I do respect...

I have definitely felt that he would have a long and successful career in the NFL. Hence, this thread. His intangibles made up for his lack of QB skills at first, but he is improving a lot. I wouldn't write him off as a long-term NFL QB.

Yeah that was completely obvious. It's all good though. To each his own.

Yeah, I wasn't implying that Tebow feels this way. However, *I* definitely do feel this way. I don't think it's a coincidence that Tebow is doing the utmost with the absolute least imaginable, in terms of the team around him, and game situations, late game deficits and whatnot. Far be it from me to try and predict what Tebow's ultimate purpose is. But I suspect it is going to be something very important.

Just as long as he doesnt turn into Jason Stackhouse in the Fellowship of the Sun.

Better than he appears? What a joke! Stat's can be misleading.

This chart should add a stat line called flukes. There have been a few. The win against the Bears was a fluke/miracle. Also chart is missing fumbles. At least 2 in the last 2 games. I also like to see opponents records.

Yea but still more passing yards even though he cant pass, more rushing yards. More TDs. Less turnovers
