Big Lou

This was a thread started that took balls. Not judging you till the end but things i'm waiting to see,

teams that will be added to the list
the formula for the list (which i hope you reveal at the end)
the outcome

Goodluck, the thing i keep on saying when people talk about the super bowl is the fact that the past few years it usually is the team playing the best at the end and everyone overhypes these teams playing their best ball in the beginning.

Hello BigLou .

I like your thinking and always been a fan of your Researchs. I'm waiting and counting on your final list.

Guys, BigLou knows what he's doing. If my memory is right, he was the one who called the super bowl upset New England over the Rams couple years ago.

Yeah so was he the only one to pick New England over the Rams.
It was not hard to pick the Patriots as any UNDERDOG of 7 points or more is a play in the NFL over the last 5 years. It hits at over 60% ATS.

And watching that super bowl by the end of the 1st quarter and the Rams having no points put them in a losing situation. At half time with the Rams losing, Vegas put up a haltime line that said the Rams could not win.New England +7.

Captain

I believe he picked New England straight up. I can tell you are new here, but trust me, BigLou knows his skills and they will speak loudly when the Post Season come. Stay tune and you will learn alot from him, just like I have learn a few tricks/systems from him.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm looking forward to watching that list of teams grow and everybody thinking I've lost my mind! Taking the Pats SU in the Super Bowl was a nice pick but taking them SU against Pittsburgh a week earlier was much more satisfying. There we're threads going on this site talking about how Pittsburgh was going to matchup against St. Louis in the Super Bowl before the AFC Championship game was even played. Nobody thought they had a chance in Pittsburgh after their miracle win in the snow the week before.

Big Lou,

When will you be eliminating Minnesota and Seattle??? They couldn't even fix the games so those two would get in the Super Bowl. Tell me has Minnesota played a team with a winning record besides the Packers the first week of the season??? LOL....And the Packers just proved Holmgren's clowns are a fraud. Besides QB Hasselback is a Packer reject LOL...Big Lou you need to tweek that system some

Yours in Winners
Bernie

P.S. Can't figure out how an UNDEFEATED Indianapolis Colts team made that list. What could an undefeated team so far done wrong???

Well the way I read this "tease" is it's only based from 1998 forward. Would bet there were winners of SB prior to that, that make this whole thread junk.

It amazes me that so many people think this hasn't been researched all the way back to Super Bowl I.

Bernie asks when am I going to take Minnesota and Seattle off the list. If and when they do something to take themselves off the list, then they will be gone.

I'm learning a lot since I started this thread. I see how difficult a time some people have putting aside their bias and analyzing what is happening during the course of an NFL season from a subjective standpoint.

Earlier in this thread a poster named "Killer" says to take Minnesota off the list because they will never win the Super Bowl. Why? Because they are 0-4 in Super Bowls? The Denver Broncos were once 0-4 also and went on to win back to back titles.

There is only one way this system can work. You have to allow it to unfold in front of you, taking all personal bias out of the equation. When the season begins, all 32 teams have a chance to win it all. One by one, they eliminate themselves. That's how it works. If any more teams eliminate themselves after this weekend, I will update the list on Tuesday.

Hey Big Lou, thought you might have misinterpreted my post, I was just saying it would be fun to look at the list and see which teams made the playoffs and see how they do. You know what they say about the playoffs, but to say that anything can happen is being pretty kind to the weaker teams, as you know usually one of the top 1-3 teams in the NFL takes the trophy. I guess the Colts really stand out on that list, but I'm guessing that they choke in the playoffs again this year. So what's left, maybe the Eagles can turn it around, but I doubt it. It did draw a chuckle out of me though as I think it's a bit early to be making Superbowl predictions, especially in this day and age of parity, but, maybe you're on to something.

General and Big Lou I agree too. The only one that people will question is Indy because they are 5-0 and will be 7-0 until they face Miami. They will then get their first loss for the year and it will be between them and Miami for home field throughout the playoffs. If Miami or Denver ever gets on that list, then I will question it. For now I agree with the list.

How do you know Indianapolis is going to be 7-0? How do you know it will be between Miami and Indy for homefield advantage? How do you know one of those teams doesn't fall apart before the seasons ends?

BigLoo - my advice is to give it up. I remember when you thought your system plays were sooooo fkn good that you were going to charge for your picks. Now you're thinking of betting the nfl play-offs only because you're so much better at predicting them based on the past. Get a clue - most of the poorest gamblers I know do well in the play-offs. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy the NFL without betting.

This little SB theory will also fail - why - because all your systems are back-fitted. Things change and you have to keep up with change. I remember when pure drop-back QBs were much preferred over scramblers, Now scramblers (who happen to be mostly black) are the 'in' thing. That will change some day also.

Funny, I don't remember asking for your advice. We will see what happens after the regular season is over.

AFTER 4 or 5 games we don't know shit. The RAMS were left for dead in 1999 when GREEN went down, and THEN emerged (their record was horrible the year before and were probably on this list). The Patriots were left for dead in 2001 when Bledsoe went down, then the rookie Brady put them on his back. WE CANT WRITE OFF most anyone just about yet.

Yes I can, and I will. Adding another team...

Arizona Cardinals
Atlanta Falcons
Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals
Dallas Cowboys
Detroit Lions
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
Jacksonville Jaguars
New England Patriots
New Orleans Saints
New York Jets
Oakland Raiders
Philadelphia Eagles
San Diego Chargers
San Francisco 49'ers
Washington Redskins

Newest addition:
Pittsburgh Steelers

5teamparlay - Every team has a chance to win the Super Bowl before kickoff on Opening Day, even the 1999 Rams.

KC gone too, no team has ever gone in Lambeau and come back from 20 down and gone on to win it all.
