lou how many times have you been right in the last 10 years? If you are as good as you advertise; I would like to make money. I would like to know your record since your inception. Is that to much to ask?

Well...I know for a fact that Lou picked NE and TB straight up winners -- declared them a smart money line pick. And they both won -- both as fairly large dogs. Those are the only two Super Bowls I distinctly remember his selection posted at RX.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Bernie

P.S. Big Lou if that is the case I'm down to one...OH YA!!!! The one I've had since August. I wouldn't bet Denver with that balloonhead at QB for no money...But it looks like Tennessee is going to have to win several games on the road...In New England???

Do you ever have anything substantial to say? I didn't think so.

Lou - I think you better back-fit your fool-proof system with some more stats (or delete some stats) that will allow Phila and NE to be eligible to win the SB.

I think you picked the toughest year ever to proclaim a system that will pick the SB champion prior to the play-offs as there are a half dozen very equal teams capable of winning the SB with a couple key breaks, irrespective of all the past stats in the world.

Even if you do luck out and pick the SB winner,I don't have much faith in a system that has already eliminated the Eagles(9 Ws and peaking), Colts (have beaten Tenne twice), Chiefs(great off/scary bad def), and Patriots (great 'D' with 10 Ws in a row including Ws over Tenne and Denver and Indy). I say there has to be flaws in a system that eliminates these teams so early in a year with so much parrity at the top.

olddog,

There are going to be some HUGE upsets in the playoffs this year. Be prepared.

Lou,

Bigger than TB winning the NFC Championship game last year? That had to be bigger than the Jets/Colts Super Bowl in 1969.

tampa won as a four point dog at philadelphia,
sorry not quite the 19 point upset pulled off by
joe namath and the jets.

this was a gutsy year-long performance big lou
but it may come down to a rb-less broncos and
qb-less titans being bounced earlier than
expected, should that happen any plan b?

I'm wondering if Lou's planning on sharing criteria with the thread after the season's done, or the winner's picked. I would hate to see this go down as some great mystery. Lou? What are you planning to do with this? I think that, in the great Big Lou tradition of written up picks, that an ezplanation is in order at the end of the season. Otherwise, this comes out in the same catagory as a poster simply laying out picks with no real imput. I am intrigued with this

Lou? Anyone there? I didn't mean to come off in a flaming sort of way, but I am interested in how you plan to end this thread. I understand that you've put a great deal of work into this system using your "Vast database of Super Bowl information" and respect the fact that you've picked the last two SB winners straight up. Tampa was not a big limb out on which to go, but New England in 2002 was amazing. You do seem to have a good grasp on post season football, and had an incredible week with your picks last week. Have your recent picks come out of your "Teams out of contention" system?

Hammer,

I will talk more about this after the season is over and the playoffs begin.
